Yep, the second story is all about them finding Bowman!
It was actually the first story we wrote after finishing up A Lich of Sense, so we were still at the point in our writing where we were getting ideas like “But what if Jacob???”
It’s not quite canon Bowman, though, because he met Jacob after Jacob met Sam and Dean. In canon he’s known Jacob for much longer.
Yeah, Jacob finding Sam in Brothers Found definitely altered his own timeline with Bowman a little bit. At least it meant that there was no one to catch Bowman like in his canon story, thus leading to the domino effect of trouble finding Wellwood long before the lich did!
For making Jacob so little, though, we had to make sure he had his sprite buddy around.
