Will there be a au in which the brothers somehow manage to avoid getting cursed/shrunk (maybe if the “pinky promise” short happened, Walt would be able to warn them about Celeste’s plan, because unlike the time in Brothers apart in which it was to risky to contact with them, this time Walt had already been discovered by Sam so he warns him… ), and the story continues more or less like it does in the show (except from the fact that Sam—){{{part 1}}}}

And then when Jacob comes to Trial’s West he gets cursed just like in Brothers Adopted /Brothers Remembered, only that this time he’s adopted by Walt and Mallory Watch and doesn’t have neither of the Winchester brothers as big brothers to help him adjust and all. And after some point, the brothers—{{{part 2}}}

And after some point, the brothers stumble over Trial’s West for a case or something, and while Sam goes out to grab some food and Dean stays to do research, Jacob and Walt were out in the room looking for supplies and Jacob gets caught by Dean. Sam gets back only to find Dean interrogating a smoll and manages to convince Dean to let him go. It would be interesting to have the two big Winchesters with a smoll Jacob and see how different it is from—{{{part 3}}}

I think you’re amazing, and your stories are awesome!

We did have a few ideas about a smol Jacob and the bros, though in a different story setup compared to this one. Feel free to write it out, or if anyone else is feeling inspired! We love seeing what you guys come up with, and Sam and Dean + smols is a good time. 

(Pinky promise is canon in the Brothers Unexpected AU, if anyone was wondering)

We do also have Brothers United, which is an AU with Sam and Dean regular sized and running into Oscar. They start out as all children in this story, so they meet earlier on compared to the other times.

So I know you kinda just answered this, but when will you be doing another poll/posting more stories? I’m loving giant Jacob but I’m really missing the smols!!

Not to fear, the poll will open up when the giant Jacob story is coming to a close!

Only one story posts at a time currently, and there will likely be a week hiatus in between that ending and the next story beginning to give me some time to catch up on other things.

Depending on what we have finished, there may or may not be another chapter of a continuing story like Motel Sprites posted during that hiatus, but since I’m not 100% sure when that will be, I can’t be sure if there will be time for an extra post. There will be a schedule released when we grow close to that time, a lot like this one.

August 14th excerpt:

Jacob grasped the strap of his bag to keep it steady as he took another step back. The strange mechanical whine of the computer screen barely warned him before it lit up and his attention was drawn there instead. Lights on the panel glowed, and from this close he could hardly recognize what this cinema-sized thing was supposed to be.

“Uh. Looks like you have work to do. I should get out of your way,” he suggested, taking one more shuffling step away from the laptop that he guessed would soon be the center of Sam’s attention.

It is indeed from the ill-fated beginning of the third season of Brothers Apart, For Science!

Bowman rubbed at his eyes and leaned forward, clinging to the bars of his own cage. He frowned out, squinting. It had to be a trick of perspective. It had to be. Bowman’s heart did flips even as he told himself that, because what he was seeing was wrong.

The shaky pool of light emanating from the flashlight Dean held didn’t lie. Bowman just couldn’t understand how this had happened.

“Dean … Dean, why in the Spirit’s Dance does it look like you’re sprite-sized right now?!”

Under Dean’s watchful eye, Sam flopped onto his bed, and it was less than a minute before he was snoring away, arms and legs in a sprawl.

Dean shook his head. Good thing their dad had sprung for a room with two beds. He wouldn’t have a foot in his face.

August 11th excerpt:

Dean noticed that the book where the kid had sat was now empty, the M&M abandoned. Dean reached forward, plucking up the M&M between two fingers and his brow furrowing in confusion when he saw the little shadow hiding behind the bread.

With a sigh, Dean reached around to pluck the kid up. “You’ve gotta stay in sight,” he scolded.

The rest of the huge M&M stayed in Oscar’s lap while he took a nibble of the candy. His eyes widened in shocked appreciation and he shot Sam a glance.

No wonder the other boy was so excited. It was good.
