For Brothers Together, we won’t have this scenario showing up. It’s possible it may appear in a different AU, but it’s a difficult type of scene to write and the setting and the emotions have to fit.

With Oscar and the younger Winchesters, bullies usually pick on easy targets, which is why Sam had such trouble in school. He’s a scrawny kid. Dean might be the type to get into fights, but in this scenario he’s not looking for trouble. He’s keeping his head down in order to keep Sam safe, and he’s a dangerous enough looking guy that no one wants to go after him first.

And I doubt that Oscar would ever come out of the motel again if he was involved in a fight.

No worries, I don’t think we draw too much attention to that timeline so it’d be easy to miss. It’s been a little over a year since the events of Bowman of Wellwood, by Bowman’s reckoning. He doesn’t keep a calendar, so he couldn’t tell you exact dates. 😉 Bowman is 19 years old in A Lich of Sense. Makes you wonder how Dean would react, knowing how young the little guy actually is, doesn’t it?

Brothers Asunder is brand new, and we came up with it on this Wednesday 😉 Soon we’ll have a sneak peek for it, and you’ll all see what’s in store in the new AU! We dreamed it up when we got in a prompt for a story, and as it turns out, we’ve got a ton ideas for it! Currently we’re working on Brothers Lost, so we just haven’t gotten around to drabbling out the spoiler for the series.

Dean, where are you?

You don’t have to worry about that at all. I myself live on the East Coast of the US, and I have never seen any of the states that the majority of the show takes place in. Even the filming for the show is done in Canada. I’ve found google to be a great research tool for when I need help.

Plus, the boys went to Ireland in one episode of the show. Though I’m not sure how they’d smuggle Sam onto an airplane, especially with Dean’s fear of flying and no Sam to strong-arm him onto the plane.

Of course! I’d love to see what you come up with for the contests! Send the note on DA or send an email to brothersapart.spn@gmail.com with the link to your contest entry, and I’ll reblog it to the tumblr. That way all entries are easy to locate for the end of the contest.

Prize announcement is on January 21st, so stay tuned to see what you’ll win!

Yes, there are two contests.

The first one will run through deviantart. All details can be found here. The entries must be submitted through that website with a link to the contest journal provided in the deviation.

The second contest is run through tumblr, for those that do not have a deviantart. Last year my contest was only on deviantart, but since then the fanbase of the story has expanded and it would be unfair to leave anyone out of a chance to win. All details for the tumblr contest can be found here, and the entries are accepted on tumblr, fanfiction.net, and archive of our own.

Each contest has the same grand prize, and if three writing entries and three art entries are received for either, that contest will have two grand prizes, one for each category.

You can enter into both contests, but you must have a different entry for each. All art mediums welcome, so long as it relates to Brothers Apart or any of its AU’s!

Yep! You can enter each contest once, so long as you have a different entry for both. So if you’ve got more than one idea, you’re more than welcome to submit them both, so long as one goes through deviantart and the other goes through fanfiction/AO3/tumblr. The entries must be different for each contest 🙂

Information on the deviantart contest here and for the tumblr contest here.
