It really depends on the circumstances and how Dean reacts; if he can’t see anything because it’s dark, and he hears Sam’s voice (no matter how loud and how distorted), he’s not going to strike out with gun or knife until he knows where Sam is and what’s going on. If it’s light out and Sam catches him off guard, he might get a cut on a finger from Dean lashing out instinctively.

Much figuring things out would happen afterwards, along with really big, hurt eyes from Sam if he got stabbed. oAo

Oh dear, poor Sam! And Dean’s a little small to be able to manage a nice style like they’d get at the hairdressers, so Sam’s hair will look a little choppy, and Dean never did manage to get it to spike up in the front.

(Still better than Dean putting Nair in the shampoo)

I think there’s no way Dean would get away with it, once Sam woke up and found out what Dean did, he’d get himself pocketed for the rest of that day.

Thank you so much!

Dean might try to run off at first, much like Sam, but once he’s over the initial startling first impression of everything around him becoming giant, he will do his best to hide his nerves for Sam’s sake. His little brother will be fret for Dean, considering he was out cold for a week, and now he just tried to run from Sam.

As for how they’d handle it afterwards, Dean is still the older brother, and still in charge of Sam, but Sam’s going to have to learn how to defend them both. Dean will help him learn how to care for his own gun, going so far as to help Sam clean the gun. Sam’s not sure how much Dean helps, since he has to make sure to steer clear of his older brother’s tiny body, but it certainly seems to cheer him up.

Honestly, they’ll bicker just as much since Dean’s a bossy little smol, but Sam will hate if he ever accidentally startles his older brother, or god forbid, scares him.

Dean would want to help Sam however he can! If he can’t get Sam to wake up, since it’s a lot harder to break through to someone while they’re stuck in a dream, he’d sit next to Sam’s head on the pillow and rub his forehead, telling Sam stories from their childhood and straying into his own life growing up on his own after the curse.

This is actually an idea we’ve been kicking around for a future story, but so far we haven’t had any huge strokes of inspiration for it (or any ideas for a name). Sam, the much calmer tol, with tiny zen Jacob and Dean the angriest smol to ever smol. Perhaps one day that will be the one you’re guessing!

(Honestly, these guessing games give us so many new ideas, so keep ‘em coming!)

And I will forever imagine Dean storming the table if Sam manages to catch Jacob… just going in guns blazing (or at least his bitty knife). That’s his adopted little brother. Give back.
