So the option to post BA along with one of the AU’s is in the lead for the most popular choice, but I’m not sure if I’ll end up going with that. It would actually be easier to have one story posting

at a time, that way it’s easier to organize uploads and notes. Doing two at once is actually more draining than I thought it would be. I’ll have to think on it more, but at the very least, three updates a week will be guaranteed.

Drop an ask if you have any thoughts!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I feel the same about writing. It cheers me up on long days at work and before I started writing at all, I would spend most of my days depressed. Now I’m cheerful most of the time and just deal with anxiety that flares up from time to time.

Don’t be afraid to enter! All skill levels are welcome, and I won’t be biased towards how good your layout is, that’s for sure. This is about having fun and writing for the series the way you see it, or what you envision for it.

Everyone makes mistakes, you should have seen me trying to edit the stories for the books. My own stuff makes me cringe some days, and I really hope all that work was worth it. I’d love to see what you come up with!

Oh, and @neonthewrite was scared to write Sam and Dean during the contest last year. Even after all this time, she’s still scared to write the brothers. So you’re never alone in being nervous.

(I’ve been stuck on just mobile before, I know just how you feel)

Prizes:

With two concurrent contests, the prizes have changed from last year. This year there will be two grand prizes! And after dedicating a large portion of the summer and late November to working on the secret project I’ve had going, I’m proud to announce that the winners will receive a paperbound copy of Brothers Apart! The first seven stories, held in your hands!

So, here’s the rundown of what you’ll win:

  • 1 copy of Brothers Apart: Season 1
  • 2 sneak peeks of future Brothers Apart stories, both angst and cutes.

The book can ship internationally, so feel free to enter if you are outside of the United States! Just remember that you will have to be comfortable with giving me your mailing address, there is no way around that.

How should posting work after Salt Lines has completed?

(since more options have come up since I asked yesterday)

  1. Finish up Salt Lines and Lich at three posts a week, then switch to one story at a time. That story may be from any AU and will post three times a week. ( here )
  2. Start another AU after Salt Lines and continue to have Brothers Apart update on Fridays.
  3. Wait to do the AU’s until after Lich has completed. ( here )

Send in the number of your choice in an ask or reply to this post. Other opinions that don’t match the choices are welcome as well! The deviantart poll is as split as I’ve ever seen it.

?

Does anyone else agree with this idea?

If I do this, there won’t be weekly BA updates. Instead, you’ll get a poll before a new story starts posting. The poll will include the next finished story in each series, including BA if it’s done. BA stories do take longer to write than the AU’s.

That story would have three weekly updates, at least for the time being, and since it’s the only one posting it would be easier to keep track of the updates.

Sam and Dean were caught up in a case at the time, and it went by without them noticing. It was before the events of Taken, so Sam was more relaxed at that time.

Dean did find a gingerbread man that was Sam’s size and let his brother have it. Sam had no real idea what to do with it.

They had a much happier time together when Sam’s birthday rolled around.

No worries, I don’t think we draw too much attention to that timeline so it’d be easy to miss. It’s been a little over a year since the events of Bowman of Wellwood, by Bowman’s reckoning. He doesn’t keep a calendar, so he couldn’t tell you exact dates. 😉 Bowman is 19 years old in A Lich of Sense. Makes you wonder how Dean would react, knowing how young the little guy actually is, doesn’t it?
