Briella Watch in Brothers Consulted

From: Anon

Comment: I feel REALLY bad for poor Bree in Brothers Consulted. In a way, aside from Mark and Anita who had to deal with being under Euan’s control for years, Bree had to undergo being taken away from her family (at least Mallory most likely survived this au), being forced to become a pet to a family of criminals with all sans one treating her like a doll, THEN getting shipped away to London and away from the only stability in her life (aka Beth) to get marked with a brand, and had she not gotten rescued, who knows what would’ve happened to her. And, unlike the others, she’s kind of alone in the whole situation. Mikael, Kara and Christian have each other. Anita and Mark got reunited. Even Dean and Sam were lucky enough to stick together through their whole ordeal on making it to London. Bree’s got nobody and since her family is back in the US, she’ll have to make the biggest adjustment of all since she has to probably learn how to borrow all over again.

Yes, Bree absolutely has the roughest path of the Americans they saved! Luckily for her, the British borrower population is very welcoming. Anyone that Sam and Dean are in contact with would take her in with open arms, and of course at the moment she can stay with the Winchesters during her initial recovery.

Her most important issue will be keeping her separate from humans, since right now she’s the most conditioned out of the crew they rescued. They can’t have her going back to humans and end up where she started at.

Story appreciation and questions!

Anonymous asked:

First of all, I absolutely LOVE all the stories you’ve come up with in the multiple universes you guys have! I am addicted to them and read and reread them almost daily they’re that written! Brothers Apart, Brothers Together and Brothers Consulted are my top favorite universes, but all of them are so good and intriguing that I can’t help but love your interpretation of events and the world, scenarios and characters you guys have come up with!

I actually have 2 questions actually.

In Brothers Consulted, will we ever meet Moira’s biological (and Dean and Sam’s adoptive) parents at any point? Would be awesome to meet the ones who took in the brothers after the rough relocation they went through.

And also, in the Brothers Kept universe, if a full-sized Dean and/or Sam were to run into a borrower (like say, Oscar for example, but any borrower like Walt, Kara, etc.), do you think they would still view them as people, given that borrowers were made public long before they were even born, and worse, turned into pets? I mean, given that they were made known and are largely harmless, I don’t think they’d register on a hunter’s radar as threats, but maybe they’d either be forced to realize the little people were people or just pay them less mind?

Thank you so much! It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying the worlds we’ve created, and you can bet we’ll keep creating!

For the first question, there are no current plans with Moira’s parents. They live a few flats down, and don’t often venture to visit their wayward adopted sons. The bros chose to live in a flat that all the rumors said was dangerous, against everyone’s advice, it’s not a place that many people would come to visit.

Moira, of course, is an exception, and she now knows that the humans are friendly, so she’ll certainly be back.

As for the rest of Moira’s family, one of her ancestors plays a direct and important part in the story.

Now, for Brothers Kept, before the brothers were cursed and subjected to live as borrowers, they wouldn’t have treated them badly. Borrowers had been around as pets since at least the 50′s. Sam was usually fascinated if they caught sight of any, but borrowers are also quite rare in America compared to London, because the borrower populations are very sparse in comparison. Dean mostly ignored them, focusing on his training and keeping Sam safe.

Kara’s adventures in Taken

anonymous asked:

Well you know how in Taken Kara was captured by Dean? Well what would happen if she was captured by someone else? And also, completely off note, I really love all of your story and am a big fan.

Well, it would depend on who was the person to catch her!

If it was one of the Mangas family, it would be a lot like pre-A Burglary at Baker Street. All of the borrowers are kept contained, and if Dean (or someone else) isn’t there to rescue them, they’re going to be shipped off for processing in London.

((Fun fact: This was my original background for Taken, but it was never touched on, and when we were coming up with ideas for Brothers Consulted, it was an obvious choice to finally expand upon.))

A friendlier human would likely help her out, at the very least get her some food! She’s always a sweet kiddo, and it’s practically against her nature to hate anyone.

Mark’s tracker

anonymous asked:

how would removing the tracker kill mark?

Removing the tracker wouldn’t kill Mark if it was done RIGHT, the catch is, it’s set up so that if it’s tampered with wrong (like if Mark tries taking it off himself, or goes to other borrowers to get it off), it’ll self-destruct and electrocute him. Euan set this up to ensure that his little pet would always come back to him.

It’ll also kill him if Euan hits the kill switch, so Mark has to be careful that Euan never thinks he’s trying to run away.

Love for Brothers Consulted

anonymous  asked:

I AM LOVING BROTHERS CONSULTED SO MUCH I DO NOT WANT ABABS TO END

Aw, don’t worry! All good things must come to an end, because that means that new things will begin!

#ababs has passed its halfway point, but there’s plenty more coming! After all, we haven’t seen Stan Baker enter the story since his scene in A Briefing, and this story is his debut in the Brothers Consulted universe! Sam and Dean haven’t been reunited with Moira, who’s very worried for her crazy older brothers, and Euan and his lackeys are still out there!

Technically, the next story after Burglary is actually a continuation of this one, because there’s far too much to even wrap up in one go, so you’ll see lots of these characters still around in Aftermath: A Series of Consulted Shorts. It’ll post between things, because it is a series of short stories that follow the characters and shows what happens between Burglary and the next big story.

Who are the Americans…?

myimaginedairybeard asked:

A Burglary at Baker Street chapter 16: “Put him in with the other Americans, I suppose.” in other Americans he referred to Oz but not to Jake, right? Since in Sad Oscar au Jacob was already “bought”. So who’s the other American? Is it the girl from the sneak peek? I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Also, are these monsters the same ones that the Weechesters were sent to (like in Brothers Discovered)? Because in one of the BD fanarts you can see the mark, though it doesn’t fit the description..

Good catches!

Sam and Dean are not marked in Brothers Consulted. One of the major differences between those two AUs is that in BC, Sam and Dean escaped their captors very quickly when they arrived in London, before they were ‘processed.’ In BD, days became months before they were able to escape, which is why it is nearing winter when they’re discovered. They’ll forever be branded in that AU.

I can confirm that Oscar is not one of ‘the Americans.’ At this point in Consulted he is likely getting caught over in America, before he’s shipped overseas.

The black market for borrowers is more expansive than we’ve seen.

We’ll just have to wait and see who those Americans are!

myimaginedairybeard asked:

Bonus – will Oz ever meet the kitten from the consulted shorts? (stricken sneezes)

It’s impossible to know at this time if Oscar will ever meet the kitten, but I can promise that Moira is very good friends with that flat’s cat, and she goes to visit whenever she can!

She just has to make sure Dean is nowhere close.

Touch Deprivation

anonymous asked:

Random ask here, but when a little is living with a human, even though I know they are technically touched or manhandled all the time, do they ever experience touch deprivation? I don’t know how even being held to a chest in a hug compares to someone the same size interacting with you and to what extent that would affect you…

Well, that’s probably going to depend on the exact little in question.

For instance, I hate touching. The fact that someone could pick me up and move me around at any time would bother the hell out of me, and I’d be twitchy from too much touching!

Some would likely yearn for same-size touch, wishing to find another of their kind. Especially if they’re in forced captivity, instead of the mutually supportive relationship like Sam and Dean have.

This actually came up in the Sad Oscar AU (aka Brothers Consulted). Oscar spent a long time with humans that could and would pick him up whenever they wanted, and it’s just not the same…

Oscar was so shocked by the sight of someone with such small features that he didn’t even flinch back from the sudden embrace. She was taller than him, but her thin frame was at his scale. No giant hands or looming faces to force him to go wherever they wanted. As it sank in, he shuddered with sheer relief and hid his eyes against her shoulder.

One frail arm returned the hug, but even Oscar’s earnest cling was timid and weak. The hand on his cane gripped it so tightly it shook.

Oscar had had no shortage of physical contact since his capture. From Noriko to Charlotte, no human had any qualms about grabbing him up in a relentless grasp, hugging him or simply carrying him around. He was no stranger to touch, and yet he might as well be touch starved.

“S-someone came,” he muttered, almost more to himself than to the stranger holding him now.

It kinda looks as if BC Dean is even MORE afraid of heights than the one in BL. Is this because of the airplane? I mean, we have bad Oscar had dealt with it in the Sad Oscar au (SAVE HIM °^°) speaking of oz, the Sad Oscar au was the first time/au Oz had used his Pyrokinesis knack (you once said that if he had a knack this would be it. And cooling off a burning hot metal seems to fit that title of fire power), so does that mean we’re going to see it soon enough in other aus as well?

@nightmares06

Oh wow, this ask went in a few unexpected directions on its way to the end!

I’ll leave the Oscar stuff to neon 😉

Dean in Brothers Consulted is absolutely more afraid of heights and flying than his Lost or canon SPN counterparts. It went from a basic phobia to a full-fledged PTSD.

He’s coming to terms with hitching a ride on Sherlock’s shoulder, with the help of the scarf for support and to help hide the surroundings, but he’s not good when it comes to getting picked up and lifted without warning.

Given time, he’ll get through those reactions, but planes. PLANES. He’s never going to be able to ride an airplane without a full-blown panic reaction, hyperventilating and losing sight of if he’s with friends or enemies.

That plane ride happened when they were kids, they were trapped in a box, the entire world rattled around them for a full 10 hours before disembarking in a place where Dean had never been. Any fear of heights he ever had amped up several levels higher.

The saddest part is Dean wouldn’t fully realize this until he’s on a plane and it turns on, because it’s triggered by the sounds more than the sights.

@neonwrite

I am so pleased that you noticed that detail! It wasn’t a very obvious moment, but you are correct that Oscar’s pyrokinesis knack activated in the Sad Oscar AU when he was being branded (which is why even he didn’t realize it – he was far too busy being upset and terrified and in pain). Now that we know Sad Oscar AU is actually Brothers Consulted, we might just see how he eventually further develops that ability! 😉 Dean’s gonna be so jealous.

As for other AUs, I’m always looking for opportunities to give him a reason for his knack to appear. Since he was born a wee borrower, it will only show up if he has a true need for it, and a need for the ability to manipulate fire doesn’t come along often. But don’t think we’re above stressing the little guy out with some fire someday!

myimaginedairybeard asked:

In the Brothers Consulted sneak peaks Stan meets smolls for the first time, after being informed of their existence, and in Brothers Kept their already known to the world… But what would happen if he didn’t known of their existence before interacting with them for the first time? How would he react? grab? Freeze up? Trap? Offer them tea with biscuits or cookies?! Also, what if John was the one to discover the brothers, and not Sherlock? How would this affect the relationships between the four?

@borrowedtimeandspace

Stan is lowkey a g/t nerd himself, so even if he’d never heard of borrowers before or had any idea they were real, he’d have generally positive reactions. Depending on the circumstances he might get a little overexcited and even a bit grabby, especially if the smol tries to run away before Stan gets to introduce himself and learn more about the smol!

Aside from that it would mostly be amazed stares and curious questions. If the smol stuck around, they would learn that he’s receptive to their feelings regarding the meeting, and will adjust his behavior to try and make them more comfortable.

Wouldn’t leave tea and biscuits completely off the table.

As for John, we mused ages ago about a few situations in which he was the one to find Sam and Dean before Sherlock, ones that probably aren’t likely to be written into full stories since it’s not likely to change the overall dynamic and story from what’s been established in Brothers Consulted. Mostly it builds trust with John a little earlier on since he’s more likely to let them go about their business if he accidentally finds them.

@nightmares06

The tiny imaginings on what would happen if John found them first are always so sweet and cute. What if John did grab Sam out of his coat pocket? What if he reached just a little too far and ended up with Sam instead of a teabag? What if he figured out the sneezes weren’t coming from the kitchen

The poor guy would be a nervous wreck thinking he was going to stumble over tiny people at any second.

Hi! (Off note) I fraking love your blog and stories. (On note) I was just wondering what stories are in the works? I’m super pumped for the first and wanted to know what I should be expecting. Thanks for the writings!

We probably answered this before, but now is as good a time as any for an update!

Brothers Apart– Season 3 has the first story written, but it needs editing and some TLC before it’ll be ready to post. The second story is half-done, and the third is in the idea stage, with a three-part special story chain that will end with quite an interesting twist!

Brothers Lost– We’ve found where the conclusion of season 1 will be! This AU will pull in several characters that our readers might recognize both from our other stories, Supernatural episodes, and some unique OCs that will appear for the first time in BL! Two additional stories are ready for posting now, several others need to be edited and beta’d, and we’re currently writing our way through the Season 1 finale, which we have not had the chance to excerpt! Keep your eyes open for #trtn when it begins to post.

Brothers Consulted– The next story will be posting at the start of the new year :3 We have several stories written, most need editing. Planned seasons for this series will be shorter, just like on the Sherlock TV show, but they’ll be full of action!

Brothers Asunder– Several more stories are complete past Dean of Nowhere, but they need to be edited and beta’d. Many plans are in the works for this AU starring @neonthebright ‘s sprites.

Brothers Adopted– One more story is completed but needs to be edited and beta’d. Other ideas are in the works to continue the storyline and take it in a very unexpected direction.

Brothers Found– This story will take the very frazzled group back to the Wellwood in the next edition and will pull in a very familiar hunter for those who have read Bowman of Wellwood! After that, there is one more story under construction, but it’s currently on hold while we write other AUs.

Brothers Chosen– The first two stories for this series are finished and waiting to be edited. We also are holding off on posting these until Stan Baker debuts in Brothers Consulted. More stories are planned to follow Stan’s path now that he’s with the Winchesters.

Brothers Discovered– The first story is 50% finished and currently on hold, but there are many plans for this young and adorable crew, and Stan Baker will also be joining up as a kiddo!

Brothers Divided– Two stories are written and need to be edited and beta’d. I know @creatorofuniverses is waiting for her chance to dive at this story after the teasers we’ve put out…

Brothers Grounded– Since this is a bit of an AU for messing around in, we don’t have any completed stories, but there are a few more chapters of fun, and we do plan on jumping back on it once we’ve caught up on some of our other backlogged plans! It’s fun playing around with a Brothers-Lost style Sam and Dean with @neonthebright ‘s canon storyline.

Brothers Kept– We’re only on the first story, but we’ve also constructed the backbone of the AU, all the way through a storyline crafted for this particularly disturbing version of the BA-verse.

Brothers Remembered– Another AU where we’re working on the first story! We have definite Plans for this one, and a familiar face that some of our giant story readers will remember…

Brothers Saved– Ah, the AU that began as a prompt and grew from there! Both cowriters are interested in pursuing a storyline within this ‘verse, we just haven’t had time to start on the stories. There is another short that was written, and I’m in progress of writing a second as @torchmlp ‘s contest prize from this year.

Brothers Together– There is nothing written or in-progress for this AU currently, but we do have some ideas floating around, and of course at some point we’re going to need to show how Oscar did when he reached Bobby’s!

Brothers Unexpected– Two stories, two shorts, and a multitude of ideas! This is just waiting to be beta’d, and we fully expect stories from BU to show up in the next poll.

Brothers United– Half a story written, and lots planned for these poor dorks! Unfortunately, this is the story we were working on when writer’s block hit @nightmares06 hard, so we put it on hiatus and tried to switch to other projects. Now that the ideas are beginning to flow again, we hope to return to it.

Giant Jacob storyline– There are plans in the works for a sequel, though all we have for it so far is a tagline written out…

We have several more unannounced AUs under construction, and are constantly coming up with more ideas! Feel free to send us in your ideas/headcanons/asks, you never know what might happen!
