October 10th excerpt:

“In fact,” Dean said, hitching up his leather duffel bag and starting to lead the way back to the home they shared, “I think we’ve earned a snack tonight. None of this ‘crumbs’ business. They won’t miss one cookie.”

"Biscuit,” Sam corrected by habit. He’d learned the local slang faster than Dean after their abrupt relocation to England.

“Whatever.”

Dean would want to help Sam however he can! If he can’t get Sam to wake up, since it’s a lot harder to break through to someone while they’re stuck in a dream, he’d sit next to Sam’s head on the pillow and rub his forehead, telling Sam stories from their childhood and straying into his own life growing up on his own after the curse.

Ahhhh, we’re just as excited! It’s been so much fun plotting out a story with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson around for the ride (Protect John Watson 4ever, I just started watching the show).

@nightmares06 – I think the most fun part of BC has been the character dynamic between these four. Dean and Sherlock get off to such a great start, and John Watson is just the most cinnamon roll around. This group will be butting heads from the start, that’s for sure.

@borrowedtimeandspace – Giant John has always held a place in my heart. It was one of my favorite dynamics to read about when Sherlock gt was popular a few years ago. Being able to write not only him but giant Sherlock as well has been both nostalgic and an absolute joy, and Sam and Dean are fantastic characters to bounce these tol dorks off of.

October 9th excerpt:

Dean balanced the huge pen he was holding, pointing it at the words under their boots. Sam steadied him and helped him draw a circle. If the human glanced at this part of the paper, he’d see a clue he missed. Maybe, in their own way, they could help save some people. Just like their father had raised them to do.

After finishing off the circle, Dean let the pen drop. “Right,” he muttered, glancing around the room with a keen eye. “Let’s just see if there’s any crumbs around then head back. We did what we could.”

October 8th excerpt:

The EMF reader didn’t give him a breath to wait for an answer before it flared to life, its red lights glowing brightly. There was a telltale wobble in a bedframe leaned against the wall, before it tilted away from its position, with no warning other than the creak of cheap old metal.

“Whoa!”

Dean leapt to the side, barely sidestepping out of the way of the heavy furniture. Mere moments ago, it was as stable as anything in the room. Now, it slammed into the ground with a heavy knock.

He hit the ground a foot away, going straight to a crouch. “Sam? Jacob?”

Oh, sorry! I’ve even watched multiple Sherlock Holmes’ shows and movies, it just fled my mind on Sunday when I was taking care of the influx of guesses.

The crossover will be with Supernatural and BBC Sherlock!

Dean will certainly be upset about coffee, but he’s lucky that this Sherlock, at least, enjoys a good cup of coffee and not just tea and biscuits.

Hello! Borrowedtimeandspace here! John would definitely dote on the bitty bros any chance he gets. It might take him a while to graduate to Christmas sweater level, but he’d be more than willing to help make the brothers more comfortable any way he can!

The reason we love this AU so much is it’ll be following both brothers as they grow up– completely separate! So Sam and Jacob will be growing up together, and Jacob’s parents will (of course) be involved in the storyline, since Jake’s only a wee 5 year old, not to mention Sam’s interaction with any friends that come around, if he’s allowed to see them. Then, Dean will run into Oscar on his own, and John Winchester will certainly be involved in their end. For the rest, we’ll have to wait and see!

October 7th excerpt:

Oscar watched as Jacob followed suit, standing easily on Dean’s hand. With the three of them all waiting on him, he took some hasty steps forward, but stopped when Dean’s fingertips were right in front of him. Those digits were bigger than he was. Sometimes it was incredible to think that humans could be so big. Then he had to remember that he and people like him were the odd ones. Dean, though he seemed to be kind of huge even for a human, was the normal one in the room.

Oscar took a short, deep breath, hoping the exhale carried some of his trepidation with it. He stepped carefully onto the hand and immediately paused, feeling the skin beneath his shoes in one of the strangest textures he’d ever stood on. The calluses were thick enough that he hardly had any impact on them.

October 6th excerpt:

“Nothing hinky. No hexbags, no sulfur. What the hell is going on in this motel?” He absently grabbed a breadstick, dipping it into the warm marinara sauce.

“Save some for the rest of us,” Sam shot up from the side, his own torn off piece of bread in hand. Once Dean’s huge breadstick had cleared the small cup, he took advantage and dipped it in the warm sauce.

“And no double dipping!” Dean shot right back, not missing a beat.
