June 22nd excerpt:

Dean shook his head ruefully, unable to resist reaching over to pluck the kid up, sitting him down on the book instead of huddling next to it. It happened so quickly that the little guy hardly had time to kick his tiny legs in alarm. “Sit,” Dean said dryly, pushing the mini-sandwich into his arms. “And eat. Sam, if he’s thirsty give him some water. He looks like he hasn’t eaten for a few days.”

April 21st excerpt:

Dean grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge. He was definitely thirsty. He managed to down most of the bottle before he dropped it down.

Jacob stepped back from where the tower of clear plastic landed. At least there was one advantage to being the smallest one there. When Jacob’s eyes widened slightly at the sight of how much water Dean had gulped down in one go, no one noticed.

February 10th excerpt:

Sam met Dean on the dresser, wrinkling his nose in disgust. “Licorice? ” He shuddered. “They actually make a drink that tastes like that?”

Dean glared at him. “That is a classic snack, almost as good as popcorn! It’s like… chewy pieces of heaven.”

With a grimace, Sam replied, “That’s funny. It tastes like dirt to me, so you’ve got an interesting idea of heaven.”
