I love when one of our posts gets comments or tags! The only problem is remembering to include those when we reblog. I am a ditz when it comes to this stuff some days.

I really like the excerpts, both the daily ones and the longer sneak peek ones. If you wanted to add more of the fanart/commissioned art into the queue again, that would also be pretty nice.
I’ll keep that in mind when working on the queue! It hasn’t been quite as active since our help has been busy in rl, but I’ve been managing at least one queue’d post a day, plus excerpts. It’s great to hear so many people like the excerpts! I get worried when there’s so few notes, especially with how much work I put into those.

I do recommend a peek at the FAQ (mobile-friendly version), just because it has some other things we get asked quite often all detailed out.
Excerpts are posted once a day, usually at 10am est, and showcase little sneak peeks that come from what we’re working on currently. Often these stories won’t be posted for some time, but it lets everyone see what we’re actively working on.
The second tag in the post shows what story they’re from. For instance, currently #fs is posting.
We don’t announce what the story names are, but instead allow people to guess the name of the story, and if they get it right, we will put up a longer sneak peek at that story for everyone to enjoy. No one has guessed fs yet, but a list of the guessed names is in the FAQ for all to see, and their sneak peeks are in the Sneak Peek page (mobile-friendly version).
The second excerpt that posts everyday, at 10pm est, is actually the excerpt that posted that day the previous year, and can be spotted by the tag #2016 excerpt redux.
I’m sure living with Dean has its ups and downs for Jacob, so he’s not constantly terrified of what Dean’s about to do. Just… most of the time?? ^^; Poor kid could use a long vacation back with Sammy.
We’re not sure when it’ll start but we’ve gotten a great reception with these excerpts so we’ll be sure to bump it up in the editing order to prepare it for the poll!
Dean could use a good scolding. We all know that Jacob is but a teddy!
Jacob deals with things in his own way. He aims to be chill most of the time, so even when he is freaking out, it can be hard to actually tell. Especially when he’s already so smol and Dean’s just kind of a hurricane that goes when he gets the idea to go somewhere.
So so many things would be cleared up if Jacob wasn’t afraid to just talk things out. ;w;
Bowman Lost Excerpt
Bowman let out a cough when the thumb tightened against him and then shoved him upwards along the palm without any warning, and then the fist closed around his body from the waist down. No matter how much he kicked his legs and pushed against the index finger curled in front of him, he couldn’t escape. That pulse surrounded him and the heat from the giant’s skin encased his lower half.
The giant snagged one of Bowman’s frantic wings in a pinch grip to hold it still. It twitched and Bowman tried to pull it free, but he might as well be trying to push a tree over. The giant was too strong and Bowman’s heart pounded with the worry that it would only take one little tug for the giant to lame him for life. “You’re okay, little guy. I’m not gonna hurtcha.” The giant’s dismissive reassurance rumbled around him.
“Just imagine my great relief,” Bowman shot back despite his fear. “Let go of my wing and let go of me! How many times to I have to say it?”
There is actually a very very good reason Sam doesn’t show up in many of the more recent excerpts, and it has nothing to do with how often he’s in the story!
Aside from when the excerpts tie into the AU guessing game, we don’t announce which AU they’re from! It’s obvious with a few– Dean’s only small in BC and BL, and clearly if Sherlock or John’s around, it must be BC, and with the rest, you’ll have to figure it out when the poll comes up!
This way, we keep the poll as randomized as possible to avoid one AU dominating, and still have some fun.

Can’t say for sure when it’s coming, though. It’s in the process of being written, and it’ll be a decently long fic from what we can tell so far. Lots of fun, for sure. Once it’s done, we’ll work it into our editing schedule and then watch out! It could appear in the poll at any time :3
Since prompts are going slow due to us writing them out into entire stories, *cough, BL, cough,* we’re going to start doing excerpts from the story to keep you all updated on how it’s going! Send in asks if you get any ideas, we love to hear them! After all, where would BL be without prompts to inspire it?
The excerpts will post on most days, but work has been bogging us both down so we may miss a day here or there.
