July 23rd excerpt:

Jacob flinched as the table shook under his feet. He made his way to the edge, wary of any more earthquakes that might send him plummeting. When he could lean forward to see down to the floor, he almost smirked. It wasn’t often that he had a chance to look down at someone anymore. Before he was reduced in size, he was on his way to being taller than almost everyone around him.

The seconds drew out with no exclamations of aha! from Dean. Jacob wasn’t sure why they would ever expect to find someone just like that. Even so, he gave Dean a few more seconds before he said anything.

June 13th excerpt:

His hand was around the kid in seconds, plucking him free of the edge. Dean lifted Jacob up to his eyes. “What in the world were you thinking?” he demanded.

Jacob blinked rapidly, as always a little dazed with how quickly he moved in Dean’s grasp. He was getting used to it, which was weird all by itself, but he still had a ways to go. In the meantime, it took him a few seconds to put together a coherent response to Dean’s question.

“I was thinking I’d get to the floor,” he answered, a little cheek and a lot of dizziness in his tone.

January 2nd excerpt:

John’s anger melted as Dean’s voice rang out from near Sherlock’s feet.

“Dean…” he breathed as he looked down at the tiny man, awkwardly shuffling to sit at the end of Sherlock’s bed. It still made his heart race to see either of the brothers on the floor. Dean had managed to catch their attention quickly this time, but John always feared the idea of him or Sam being unable to make themselves known to their larger flatmates.
