This is a fun idea! They should do more with spirits that have unfinished business, it feels like that’s an untapped well of ideas just waiting for someone to jump in. If anyone wants to write this out, we’d all love to read it! We’ve got quite a few stories on our plate saved up, so we wouldn’t be able to tackle it.

Random brain farts is 80% of what I come up with.

On a side note, I’ll definitely be having a spirit with “unfinished business” showing up in the future…

If it hit Sam… Dean would find a tiny, tiny puppy in his pocket. Those little hazel eyes looking up at him, pleading for him to fix it and make it all better. He would be nothing but determination if that happened to Sam.

I wouldn’t mind a story like this myself, but I don’t write animal fics. If anyone is up to writing it, feel free! Send us a link so we can all check it out 😀

I have a headcanon for what borrowers do, but the little guys in my stories, despite their resemblances, are not actual borrowers from the Mary Norton books. There are some differences, some that haven’t been revealed yet.

As for what my guys do with their dead in canon, we actually do touch on that in a few different stories. They don’t hold any religious beliefs themselves, so it depends on where they live. Each subgroup will handle it differently. The families living in the burrow behind Bobby’s have a place chosen beyond the tiny stream they live next to where they wrap and bury their dead. A tiny field of flowers grows overtop and if anyone misses their loved ones they can come and sit near the field and feel close to those they’ve lost.

Oh, these brothers wouldn’t even know where to start if they switched places. Everything is suddenly small for Sam, and Dean won’t expect all the towering heights he’s surrounded with. They really aren’t prepared to walk in each other’s shoes, and Dean’s fear of heights would do him no favors. Sam won’t know his own strength at all, and he’s going to have an unnaturally fragile Dean around to watch out for.
