October 17th excerpt:

“It is nice to breathe air that isn’t recycled,” said Stan genuinely. With another long inhale, he carefully maneuvered himself a little closer to the front of Dean’s shoulder, setting himself down between the collar and his neck and curiously peeking out in the direction Dean was heading. Once he even dared to glance down the sheer cliff Dean’s torso made, see those massive legs swing out to carry his unfathomable weight forward another step.

For the one brief second Stan got to see that, it was both fascinating and terrifying.

August 11th excerpt:

Dean noticed that the book where the kid had sat was now empty, the M&M abandoned. Dean reached forward, plucking up the M&M between two fingers and his brow furrowing in confusion when he saw the little shadow hiding behind the bread.

With a sigh, Dean reached around to pluck the kid up. “You’ve gotta stay in sight,” he scolded.

March 20th excerpt:

If he ever did go into a room occupied by giants, there were rules to follow. He had to listen for breathing, the powerful gales in and out of enormous lungs. Relaxed breaths told him if they were sleeping or focused. Sleeping humans usually didn’t wake, if he was quiet enough while he searched around for food or something to use back in his home, nestled inside the walls themselves.

Every time he left that little haven, his heart rate sped up.

January 4th excerpt:

The trip to grab food went without a hitch. Sam hovered his other hand over Stan to block him from sight of the attendant at the window. It was odd how peaceably Stan sat there, letting the brothers talk over him the entire time. If they didn’t address him directly, he didn’t go out of his way to catch their attention.

August 12th excerpt:

It was little wonder Dean hadn’t asked about the idea ahead of time. Jacob never would have agreed to this. Even if Dean went along with it anyway.

Now, he was going to come out of that pocket no matter what. He’d never been able to avoid being picked up when Dean was determined, and he knew this would be no different. Even so, Jacob shrank away from Dean’s hand in one jerky motion, startled. One boot lifted up and he kicked at Dean’s knuckle pointedly, wishing he could divert what was happening.

“Hey!” Dean hissed. “Chill already, you’re fine!

March 14th excerpt:

Sam remained curled against his neck, a sharp eye on their surroundings. He continued to be amazed at the world passing by so speedily. After years of being trapped in one place, he might never stop being awed at how much freedom he had with Dean. All he had to do was speak up and Dean would change the direction of the Impala.

Bowman looked like he was finally adjusting to riding in a car. His wings shifted a bit in the movement as Dean turned the car into the Gas ‘n’ Sip parking lot, the sunlight sending patterns across his wings in bright ripples through the glass window.

“Alright guys, pocket time,” Dean said quietly. He parked in a corner of the lot, away from any other cars so that no one would see the sprite flitting around inside. “Everyone needs to be hidden.”
