This was a tricky one, not gonna lie, anon! Not for the switcheroo or anything, but just because we haven’t done something like that yet. As it is, Jacob’s timeline is already pushed back a bit to line up with the Winchesters, so it’s not like we couldn’t move him back a bit more to be older than Sammy.

In that case, and assuming we’re talking about a Brothers Adopted scenario with them both tinified, Jacob would be a very patient and chill older brother figure for little Sammy. I can see him quietly listening while Sam goes on and on about what worries him, asking questions, and trying to make sense of the new situation he’s found himself in. Jacob would understand and he’d be a good source of protective hugs when things got overwhelming for the kiddo.

The thing about Jacob is he’s pretty much always a teddy. The difference this time is he’d be older, and the older he gets, the better he is at maintaining his calm. He’d be the most chill.

Unless it called for it. If Sam got captured by a certain giant older brother, that giant might find a little Jacob charging in to try to get him back. We can only hope they’d sort things out before Jacob ended up sticking his nail-sword through Dean’s hand.

August 17th excerpt:

Dean scowled. “Why does everyone think I’ll hurt him?” he growled, yanking his arm out of the grip. “He’s in the room!”

“Where the hell do you think you’re go–“

“Out!”

( 10 Facts about my Characters )

HERE WE GO. Some of these people might already know, others might be new? Either way. Time to do the thing.

  1. Jacob Nicholas Andris is named after his father Nicholas and a grandfather on his mother’s side.
  2. His birthday is August 27th (coming up pretty soon actually)
  3. He is/was on his high school’s boxing team. In his canon story, he was unable to be on the team for his senior year of high school due to the events of Bowman of Wellwood.
  4. He broke his arm once in middle school.
  5. He’s decently proficient in Greek, as he learned it growing up from both his parents and especially in talking to his various grandparents, who insisted on him learning.
  6. His best friend is Qi Shi “Chase” Lisong, whom he met shortly after Chase’s family moved to the US from Jiuquan in China.
  7. For a short period of time, Chase’s younger sister Minnie had a crush on Jacob, a fact that Chase gives them both endless shit about.
  8. Jacob is asexual and aromantic! He went on one (1) date and discovered that it’s all more than he cares to deal with.
  9. Jacob learned his love of camping and the outdoors from his dad, who used to take him on small trips whenever he could.
  10. In his spare time, he reads a lot. Jacob knows he tends to look more like the big dumb jock than anything else, but he keeps himself fairly well-read.

August 16th excerpt:

“Dean, wait! ” Jacob cried, lifting one hand as if he might halt the towering human himself. His eyes were wide and his heart pounded, residual from the sharp reaction he’d gotten. Dean’s walls had slammed down like a ton of bricks, quickly enough to almost cause whiplash.

Jacob hadn’t given him the time he needed to cool off. He suddenly doubted any amount of time was enough.

“Please, you gotta listen to me,” he yelled, trying to ensure Dean could hear his tiny voice from his full height. Normally, Jacob would want to back off, but this was too important.

August 15th excerpt:

Jacob didn’t get a sound out before Dean’s fist slammed into the table, not even six inches away.

The surface bounced beneath his boots and the sound rang even more ominously than the humans’ voices. Jacob stumbled backwards with his wide eyes fixed on that fist. It would have left nothing of him if it landed on his body.

In Brothers Divided, Dean never woke up and found Sam trying to break Jacob out of the vase (Brothers Adopted early storyline). ‘Cause of that, they can’t get Jacob out, Sam is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and finds himself losing his adopted younger brother to the giant that trapped him.

August 13th excerpt:

Worn wood stretched out beneath his boots. Jacob found one scratch in the table that he shuffled one foot over once, twice, while his cheeks heated up. He almost felt scolded by that blue eyed gaze.

The first day traveling with Dean came back to him, one of the scariest days in his life. After spending an entire night trapped under a vase, Jacob had been grabbed up and dropped in a pocket, trapped while Dean took him away. He had lied to protect his family, and gotten himself more or less adopted because of it.

August 12th excerpt:

It was little wonder Dean hadn’t asked about the idea ahead of time. Jacob never would have agreed to this. Even if Dean went along with it anyway.

Now, he was going to come out of that pocket no matter what. He’d never been able to avoid being picked up when Dean was determined, and he knew this would be no different. Even so, Jacob shrank away from Dean’s hand in one jerky motion, startled. One boot lifted up and he kicked at Dean’s knuckle pointedly, wishing he could divert what was happening.

“Hey!” Dean hissed. “Chill already, you’re fine!

August 11th excerpt:

“No, nothing like that!” Dean defended. “It’s– it’s a little hard to explain. I’ll have to show you.”

Hidden away, Jacob frowned. Show? Suddenly, a sinking feeling settled into his stomach. He clung to the pocket fibers even tighter after the swaying from Dean stepping to the side all of a sudden, and he huddled further down into the pocket.
