August 3rd excerpt:

Wary of standing on any unaware human, Sam chose to climb Jacob first to give him a heads up. The thick hoodie fabric made it an easy climb.

Sam sprang up. “Jacob,” he hissed. He was close enough to the young human’s ear that he didn’t need to talk in a normal voice. “Hey.”

Sam put a hand against his neck. “So, I guess you need some more rescuing.”

July 31st excerpt:

Dean packed everything he could into the duffel. It was at least an hour’s hike to get to where Jacob met up with Bowman, and further than that if they needed to go all the way to the village. They might not have time to make it all the way back to the car if things went to hell.

He hefted the duffel up to a shoulder. “Ready, pint-size?” he asked his younger brother, who was sitting on his right shoulder like normal.

“As I’ll ever be.”

Technically, this story is taking place in the canon Supernatural world, so the little burrow wouldn’t exist. However, if anyone has any headcanons for them or ideas, feel free >w> I love coming up with things.

As for sheer immensity, it would be impossible for any interactions between such a difference unless a normal sized human played middleman. They’d have to choose between their love of freedom and their safety if it came down to the choice to leave the burrow behind.

July 29th excerpt:

“Don’t overdo it, or you’ll never get to sleep,” Jacob warned with a laugh as Bowman wheeled around in the air.

In response, the sprite fluttered over to him and landed unabashedly on a shoulder. It warmed Jacob’s heart to be so trusted by his small friends.

Bowman flicked his wings in annoyance. “The sun goes down eventually. There’s no such thing as overdoing photosynthesis!” While it wasn’t strictly true, as a sprite could become incredibly sluggish, Bowman wasn’t about to go into that. Satisfied that he’d told the human what was what, he fluttered off his shoulder again.

July 28th excerpt:

“Hey!” Sam called out, breaking the silence of the forest.

Jacob was too sluggish to startle awake completely, but the call did bring him to awareness faster than usual. His eyes opened and his shoulders tensed in the first second of not knowing where he was. The arm he’d rested on tingled from low circulation, so he had to use his other hand to push himself up.

He scanned his surroundings with tired eyes, and it took him a few seconds to actually spot Sam. When he did, he smiled tiredly. “Hey, Sam,” he greeted.

Haa, poor Jacob! He has such bad first impressions! Let’s see…

In Bowman of Wellwood, Bowman doesn’t have a knife to stab him with but he certainly does his best and bites Jacob

We all know just how good Jacob does with Sam and Dean in Brothers LostBoth brothers score a hit on him with their knives.

Sam was a little stressed in Brothers Found XD Yet another knife attack.

We gave Sam a sword in Brothers Asunder, so that bodes ill for our teddy tol.

Well, gee. Forget the sword. Sam and Dean are armed to the teeth in the giant story. Jacob, you better watch your back out there.

Maybe Brothers Unexpected! Sam’s only ten and Jacob is only four-going-on-five! He has hope XD

Shrunken Jacob has super strength! All of the littles in the Brothers Apart related AUs have greater proportional strength than a human; this is why Sam and Dean in Brothers Lost can haul each other around like kittens. Jacob, however, has even more strength than that. It helps a ton that he can carry supplies that the others would have to leave. He can also open Tupperwares when they go to raid the kitchen, leaving a wider variety of food available for his family.

July 24th excerpt:

Jacob watched the black sky above and realized with an internal jolt that Sam could take him out right that instant. He stood right over Jacob’s throat, and he carried guns and knives with him. Even Dean could leap forward with his machete right then if he thought Jacob was a threat. He had to hope that his continued trust in them would pay off.

July 23rd excerpt:

“See if you can find any good places to stop for the night,” Dean said. “We should check on Jacob before long.”

“Right,” Sam said, slouching down in his seat.

“And keep an eye on that giant!”
