What Castiel can or can’t do will have to wait for his appearance in the stories, if and when he comes. Can’t be giving away trade secrets, after all 🙂

But as for a new journal and new clothes, Sam has both of these things. In A Schism of Fire and Water, Sam was given a journal from Dean for his birthday (just because it’s made for a dollhouse doesn’t mean it isn’t useful), and Krissy made him new clothing that Walt and the others gave him.

May 28th excerpt:

Dean stiffened, and motioned for silence. His hand went straight to his silver knife, and it was out in seconds and held at the ready. Years of being under four inches in height has taught them to prepare for anything, whether it be attack by a rat or a spider, or capture by a human.

With a motion to Sam, Dean inched forward to peer around the corner. It really did sound like the rustle of paper, like the long nights they’d spend with Dean trying to sleep and Sam up with his journal. They’d shared a room most of their lives, and the sound was a comfort when Dean couldn’t sleep.

I’m not sure if we’ve made any mention of Bobby in any of the Brothers Found snippets, but I guess it’s no big secret.

Brothers Found was the first of the AUs we dreamed up, right when Lich was completed. It started out as a crack rp in skype… and then it turned into so, so much more (namely, the monstrosity of a horror story that it gave birth to and subsequent stories). Because of this, the plot is glossed over at points and Sam met Bobby in the same was as he did in Brothers Apart. Later AUs will pay more attention to these parts, but (we were excited to start the horror story so we skipped around).

Lol.

May 27th excerpt:

Pointing towards the dusty piles of boxes and antiques, Dean explained. “The last place we saw them was in the piles of boxes. It’s our best bet to start, and we can branch out from there. Hopefully, with Jacob out of the picture, they’ll reappear. I really think we were getting somewhere last time with the journal.”

“At least the journal’s in one piece,” Sam murmured as his hand strayed protectively to his bag. It was the only one of its kind he’d ever seen, and he didn’t want to risk it. He already had to write in the margins and use up every millimeter of space so he didn’t risk running out of blank pages. With Dean’s shenanigans, he was going to be left without a journal inside of the year.

May 26th excerpt:

While Dean was casually strolling across the floor of Jacob’s room, Sam dashed past him. Instead of pausing in the hand, he darted across it. Catching a hand in the thick fabric of Jacob’s shirt, Sam scaled up the thick, muscular arm. The threads formed handholds that his tiny fingers wound their way into by second nature. He could feel the muscles behind the fabric tense in Jacob’s surprise, but the human had learned not to flinch even when they caught him off guard.

In short order, Sam was perched up on Jacob’s shoulder, peering down at Dean with a completely innocent look. “What? You said just like every day!”

Dean gave a huff, stalking the last few inches onto Jacob’s hand. “That’s not what I meant and you know it!” he snipped, jabbing a finger in Sam’s direction.

May 25th excerpt:

Dean shook his head. “Sure, we’re stronger,” he agreed. “But our adopted mom, Mallory, wasn’t close to as strong as us or Walt.” He hovered a hand close to his chest, indicating her height. “She didn’t have as much luck as us or Walt when she got out of the house to get supplies, but she did manage to throw it up.”

Jacob stared for a second longer at the height Dean had indicated. Their adoptive mother was absolutely tiny. Sam and Dean were already small, but this woman couldn’t be much more than three inches by Dean’s measure.

He tried to think about what he knew of the family they had back at that motel. He hadn’t heard much about them at all, and with a small shred of guilt Jacob understood why. They’d be protective of them; Sam and Dean were just like that.

There may be relationships ahead in any of the series. Though I’m not an expert in any way on relationships in general since I’m ace, there are definitely plans in the works. Nothing sexual ever, of course. Neither Sam or Dean are celibate by any means, and I plan on staying as true to the series as possible, of course.

I think they’ve worked in at least some relationships in the last few seasons… though Dean is ruined for women right now and it upsets me to see him so torn.

Believe it or not, I am no expert in vocal cords and vocal pitch. I am mathematically trained, and I work in numbers. These are questions you might want to pose to an expert.

As for my story, I do prefer to keep science out of it. At its core, Brothers Apart and all subsequent AUs are based in the supernatural, with witches and demons and curses that shrink people down. I personally despise the ‘squeaky voice’ trope, so if you read a story by me you can assume all characters sound ‘normal.’ Whether this is me taking liberties is up to you, but until we actually have a person cursed to under four inches tall, none of us are the experts.

May 23rd excerpt:

“You shake the fuckin’ ground, dude, holy shit.”

“He’s actually doing a lot better,” Sam chimed in loyaly. “You shoulda seen what it was like the first time we ran into him. Aside from all the grabbing and all that.”

“Just imagine seein’ that guy comin’ at you when you’re tryin’ to climb down from a table,” Dean grumbled to the side. “Snatched me right off my rope.” His hand absently brushed the hook dangling out of the duffel slung over his shoulders. A thick black thread from a sewing kit they’d found in an occupied room years back served as the climbing rope. “Godzilla, Jolly Green… whatever fits at the time.”

“Dean never gets tired of coming up with nicknames,” Sam snickered.

That little idea was created around the time this blog began, so things have changed, but I think one part has remained the same.

This gives two options. Sam can choose a pocket, or a shoulder. If Sam was to go for the pocket, he can’t see what’s going on and he can’t help Dean out if they find trouble. I think the Sam we have in our stories isn’t about to let Dean be the only one who’s going to take risks. Small or not, he’s going to insist that he be the lookout. After all, he can tell when people are looking at him, right?! So why should he leave Dean to fall into a trap?

Sam will make sure to keep that brother of his out of trouble, no matter who’s around. He’s not about to sit this out in a pocket. 🙂
