March 12th excerpt:

Sam peeked out from where he was standing behind Scar, his face faintly red at the sight of so many other people, and all with wings like Scar’s. “H-hi Ara- my Lady,” he managed to nervously stutter out, not completely sure how he was supposed to address her. His dad hadn’t spent much time on formalities, and Dean wasn’t the best example to follow when it came to authority figures like police and teachers. Sam wanted to make a good impression after his life had been saved.

His wide hazel eyes flicked to the other knights that were in the room with them. “Are you going to help find my brother?” he asked, innocent hope in him that soon he would be back where he belonged with his family.

March 11th excerpt:

“I’m n-not hurt,” Sam managed to stutter out, clutching his knife to his chest. “W-what… are you?” His big hazel eyes were wide. He was all alone in a huge, towering forest.

Dean was gone.

John was gone.

“I don’t know where I am!” Sam said, unable to hold it in anymore. The tears overcame him again as the rising emotion over losing his family started to take over again. “I want my big brother!”

March 10th excerpt:

Sam’s mouth turned dry, and he shot a look at Dean. Give it a shot? he mouthed at his brother, having heard nothing of this from anyone. He rubbed the back of his neck in a distracted gesture, trying to brush away the warning tingle of humans watching them.

Dean was almost glowing with hope. He nodded eagerly. “It’s a cleansing spell,” he said in a hushed voice. “Maybe it can cleanse the curse just like the hex. It can’t hurt, right?”

March 9th excerpt:

With a hand brushing against the wallpaper, Dean lead the way behind the display case. The tingle on Sam’s neck flattened to nothing the moment he was out of sight of their friends, and his shoulders relaxed. Then…

Wait. What the hell?

He was still being watched.

It was faint and fleeting compared to the heavy touch of Jacob’s attention, but it was there.

“Dean,” Sam hissed, “we’re being watched.”

Ooo, at last someone has solved the mystery. Jacob is indeed the kid that finds Sam in a motel room. (Compared to Sam, Jacob at his 17 years of age is just a kid) Neither of them expect it, that’s for sure.

Annnd… since someone has guessed who the kid in the story is, it’s time for another sneak peek!

“Wow,” Jacob muttered aloud, his free hand nudging the little bag that now lay mostly free on his hand, part of the strap secured just as much as the tiny chest was. Two impossibly small clasps held it shut and Jacob couldn’t help the amazed smile. He poked at one of the teeny legs, amazed that the little guy was even wearing miniature jeans, denim and all.

His gaze drifted back to the little guy’s face. “What are you?” he asked, unsure if he’d even be understood. It was worth a shot.

The little guy didn’t seem to have understood Jacob’s question, judging by the way he resumed his struggles. He’d heard, definitely, because Jacob had felt him tense up from the noise. He supposed his voice might be a little loud for such tiny ears. He’d have to remember that so he didn’t freak the little guy out any more than he already was.

One of the little legs kicked at his hand. The tiniest boot Jacob had ever seen planted on one of his knuckles and pushed with all its might. He didn’t actually feel any force from it, though it was clear the tiny person was giving it his all. Some pity softened his expression. The poor guy was just so small. Jacob moved his hand away.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe,” he said, in a quieter voice than before. Hopefully it would offer some comfort to the little guy, even if he didn’t understand the words; it was still tough to tell if he could.

Jacob could feel the panicked breaths speeding in and out of the small chest pinned by his thumb. The little guy was practically hyperventilating there. And he was pushing against Jacob’s thumb for all he was worth, but again Jacob didn’t actually feel the force behind the little shoves. Still, clearly he wasn’t helping with the poor guy’s breathing, so he’d have to think of something else.

Jacob got an idea and latched onto it. He shifted his hand so it was flatter, and then used his thumb to gently nudge the small person so he was propped up against Jacob’s curled fingers like a seat. That done, he moved his thumb so it rested on the tiny shins instead, hopefully preventing any panicked flailing without constricting the little guy’s breathing.

“There, isn’t that- fuckdammit!

First sneak peek

Oh, Garth. How I love him. But it’s so hard to predict his actions because it will all depend on how events play out.

After all, this is the guy who killed the tooth fairy.

So, if the smol brothers are up to shenanigans, they should be sure to duck into hiding if he’s around. If they’re in trouble, there’s a good chance he’ll help out these very strange curse victims. If it’s just Sam smol, Garth will have a Dean solidly in between him and Sam until Sam gets his overprotective big brother to chill.

March 7th excerpt:

He reached over them to experimentally nudge a book back to its upright position, and pushed it back a little farther. “Wow. With this setup no one would even know you guys were in there,” he noted appreciatively.

Dean slapped the hand that was encroaching in on their space. “And it’s gonna stay that way,” he said pointedly. “Now quit it! If you keep pushing the books back Sam will take over the entire place while he sleeps.”

March 6th excerpt:

While Sam was lost in thought, he didn’t notice Rumsfeld shifting behind him. The dog blinked at how far away Dean was, knowing he wouldn’t be able to reach him without jumping up on the desk. Doing that would knock Sam over, and that would hurt the little guy.

So instead, he nosed up against Sam’s back.

And scooped him up with one swift motion.
