When I read that Sam needed a compass to figure out where north was, during or shortly after the setting sun my brain went “How the hell they can’t tell where north is!?”, only to be followed by the saying “They really lost their north”. Well played chapter title, well played ~Sassy

Lol, thanks!

As for Sam, they were pretty disoriented after Jacob put the Impala down after carrying them through the forest, and after their time hunting a wendigo Sam’s been working on improving their methods of surviving in the forest.

Great trackers, bad navigators. But Dean always has his M&Ms.

New Lounge contest where the Deans need to beat each other at building something, with their Sams, Jacobs and/or Baker Street boys as assistants. Who would win? And what would they come up with? ~Sassy

Any regular Dean probably has the most training, since they had access to books and journals and the internet and class. Smol Deans, on the other hand, are forced to be innovative, and come up with unique solutions without any resources to lean on.

BL Dean has taken to his mechanical background rapidly, but he has a lot of catching up to do, relatively. Trails West has been inhabited for years, so a lot of the projects he could possibly work on have already been done. He would have spent a lot of his time making sure repairs were kept up, while he wasn’t out getting supplies. He and Jacob would be a bit behind the full-sized Deans.

The Dean in BC has spent the most time working on the walls at Baker Street, since the people that lived there before them left quickly, and hadn’t put any work into the place. He’s also got Sherlock as an assistant, who might be a bit offended to just be Dean’s ‘assistant,’ but is certainly knowledgeable on his own on a variety of subjects. He’d give BA Dean a run for his money!

Sudden mental image: kid Oscar helping Dean in the perilous hunt of the missing shirt button and successfully defeating the hordes of dust bunnies that were trying to claim it away from the human ~Sassy

Oh my goodness. Oscar would fuss about getting all those dust bunnies stuck to him, but he could fight through it. Dean needs buttons on his shirts, his clothes need to hold up for as long as he can manage. Oscar could brandish a small comb against the dust, if Dean could find him a small enough one to carry.

What would have happened if Cas didn’t manage to shrunk Dean back down? Would he be forced to become Bobby’s newest resident (and even bigger bottomless bag)? And how would he and Sam interact again (some of the Lounge ideas would be good, but still, angst)? Also I can imagine Bowman’s shock when Bobby goes instead of Dean and Sam somehow explains his brother ended up more giant than ever (prompt, maybe?) ~Sassy

They’d have to get him to Bobby’s, first! They took a road trip to Rufus’s cabin for the setup, knowing she wouldn’t fall for the trick at Bobby’s place.

He probably would have knocked down most of the cabin if Cas didn’t fix him, simply because he had no place to go, and no doors big enough to crawl out of. All scrunched in a corner, and the only reason he couldn’t try and stop Celeste himself was because of the pain he was in from his bones expanding.

((There’s a good reason the victims of her curse often are unconscious for the good part of a week after it hits. Extremely compacted, extremely fast.))

The main thing about the Lounge is, Gabriel buffered it for size different interactions. The borrowers can’t be deafened if you yell, and no one can get hurt. Sam and Dean wouldn’t have that luxury. They’d need an interpreter, at least at first, someone who can talk to each of them separately.

I’m pretty sure Bowman would be all sorts of offended if he hears Dean is more giant than his giant now. Considering how serious the problem is in Wellwood, Bobby would definitely hit the road to help.

What about the brothers giving the sprites a good climbing display in Brothers Grounded? Maybe because Bowman made some stupid remark about how they’d have trouble getting around, or simply doesn’t believe it’s possible for wingless small folk to even survive without them? Also I absolutely imagine Dean having a fight with a squirrel over food and royally kicking its ass. Or Sam exploring the cottonwood tree at night without any lights ~Sassy (P.S: I’m over the moon you using my name suggestion)

It’s a great name! Those poor grounded brothers, they’ve never even been able to fly! How can they live like that?

I’m sure Sam is going to shock and awe the sprites when he climbs 😉 He’s confident in his skills and doesn’t mind showing off a time or two, while Dean won’t let anyone make fun of his skills. He might not be the best at heights, but he knows a thing or two.

Dean would totally rock that squirrel.

The sprites would be so amazed at how Sam can see in the dark! How is that even possible!

There’s a lot about these strange sprite-sized humans to be amazed about. They’re wingless, and yet that doesn’t stop them from reaching the tops of the trees if they wanted. Though they can’t get energy from the sun, so they’d better have a snack before they try an adventure like that.

Motel AU suggestion: Brothers Grounded (because they’re non sprites) or Brothers Discovered (basically what Jacob did, he discovered 2 non sprites) ~Sassy

Brothers Discovered is already taken, but Brothers Grounded sounds perfect! They’re definitely not-sprite smols, and Jacob is not used to his smols being unable to flit up to his face and give him a good bop! I’ll have to figure out what to do with updating this story and what we’ll be doing with it.

Anyone have any suggestions for Brothers Grounded?
