November 27th excerpt:

“Do you have any idea where you’re going?” Sherlock griped as Dean directed him across the street. Knowing every road and back-alley in London was only so much help when Sherlock was being led by a tiny man on his shoulder who hadn’t set foot outside in over a decade.

Dean rolled his eyes. “No,” he said pointedly. “The only times I’ve been outside in London, I’ve either been on your shoulder or in a cage.

November 25th excerpt:

Dean was silent for a long moment. He very rarely tried to actively use the ability. Mostly it just happened. They needed food, and he would suddenly just know where to go. Questioning it when their lives depended on the ability seemed like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

As he focused, the prickles on the back of his neck began to grow more prominent. His surroundings dropped away.

It was like he was standing next to Sam once more, trying to hurriedly clear his mind and listen to Sam’s constant litany of ‘advice’ for how to do it.

With focus came clarity, and Dean found himself pointing before he realized his hand was moving.

Psychic freak, slipped into his mind and he angrily crushed the thought as he told Sherlock, “That way.”

November 24th excerpt:

“Oh, well that clears everything up,” Dean said, sarcasm heavy in his voice. Out of all the times he’d seen Sherlock pull that one on John, he’d somehow never expected to have it turned around on him.

After being plucked out of the cupboard without warning and then told he was going to be training, also without warning or any way to prepare, this was shaping up to be quite a day already.

“You’ll have to refresh my memory,” Dean said, his gruff little voice as firm as ever and speaking with a level of authority that his size contrasted with. “Seems I have a difficult time recalling conversations I was absent for.”

November 4th excerpt:

Shocked didn’t adequately describe how Dean felt about Sherlock’s offer.

Stunned, aghast, flustered… None of them came close. Maybe appalled, at himself, for actually finding that he was considering it.

Sam would kill me!

And yet, his mind entertained the possibilities.

( Original post )

He could and it’s great and my god is he turning those powers to driving Sherlock up the wall!

Too bad somehow John gets caught in the middle…

“Well, obviously you two still take issue with the way Sherlock treated you when we all first met,” John pointed out. “Which is totally fair, I’ll admit. But frankly, the way you’ve been dealing with it is driving him mad, and I have to live with him.”

October 15th excerpt:

Dean stalked from side to side in his jar, every ounce of his body just bleeding out frustration. He didn’t take his eye from Sherlock, resembling a cornered wolf more than a man with the matching snarl on his face.

October 14th excerpt:

Sherlock moved Dean further away and dropped him into the prepared jar, releasing his grip as low as the glass would allow.

That done, he carefully placed the miniscule blade onto his freed palm. It was so small he had to squint to see any kind of detail in it, until he remembered the pocket magnifier he always kept on his person. He fished the little instrument out of his pocket and used his teeth to slide it open. The newly-uncovered lens offered a much better, if slightly distorted view of the much tinier weapon.

“Excellent workmanship,” he murmured, taking note of how impossibly fine it was. Sherlock was making an honest effort to not underestimate these miniature men, but a silver knife of that caliber seemed well outside the resources of someone shorter than a finger.

Setting the magnifier aside, Sherlock let the knife slide from his palm to the counter, a good deal away from the edge where it could get accidentally brushed away.

Ahhhh, we’re just as excited! It’s been so much fun plotting out a story with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson around for the ride (Protect John Watson 4ever, I just started watching the show).

@nightmares06 – I think the most fun part of BC has been the character dynamic between these four. Dean and Sherlock get off to such a great start, and John Watson is just the most cinnamon roll around. This group will be butting heads from the start, that’s for sure.

@borrowedtimeandspace – Giant John has always held a place in my heart. It was one of my favorite dynamics to read about when Sherlock gt was popular a few years ago. Being able to write not only him but giant Sherlock as well has been both nostalgic and an absolute joy, and Sam and Dean are fantastic characters to bounce these tol dorks off of.
