June 18th excerpt:

Dean scooped up Stan and the plate in one hand, balancing the apple pie on the tips of his fingers, and snagged the laptop with his other hand. The laptop got plopped at the foot of Dean’s bed, quickly followed by the pie and then Stan, and Dean stretched out on his stomach so he could see the screen close up.

June 16th excerpt:

Stan hopped to his feet when the humans started moving about, and did his best to keep back and out of their way until things fell relatively still. Then he crept curiously closer to Dean and the laptop, wondering about his plan as much as Sam.

“Is a… movie like a TV show?” he ventured to ask, still getting the hang of human things and how they worked. He could only imagine it was similar, since he’d heard the brothers mention movies before, and the laptop wasn’t so dissimilar to the television. The biggest difference was the computer had more options for functions, and the TV was limited to entertainment media as far as he could tell.

The brothers are working an easy case in Hibbing, Minnesota when they’re reminded just how delicate their situation is. The reminder? A cold bucket of water in the face for Dean, and a world of trouble for Sam.

June 1st excerpt:

For some reason, Stan was drawn to the kitchen toward the front of the house. There was a granite island there that was set higher up than the dinner table, seemingly an ideal place for Stan to get acquainted with the person he’d be essentially forcing to live with him.

He set the box almost reverently down on the counter, and he tried his best not to jostle it as he opened it up and tentatively peered inside.

“So, ah. Hi,” Stan greeted lamely.

May 22nd excerpt:

“Now, let me see if you’re hurt,” Dean said, gently commanding. He brushed a finger under one of the tiny arms, trying to coax the kid out of his huddle. Unlike Sam, Dean rarely took no for an answer when it came to a kid in trouble.

What would have happened if Cas didn’t manage to shrunk Dean back down? Would he be forced to become Bobby’s newest resident (and even bigger bottomless bag)? And how would he and Sam interact again (some of the Lounge ideas would be good, but still, angst)? Also I can imagine Bowman’s shock when Bobby goes instead of Dean and Sam somehow explains his brother ended up more giant than ever (prompt, maybe?) ~Sassy

They’d have to get him to Bobby’s, first! They took a road trip to Rufus’s cabin for the setup, knowing she wouldn’t fall for the trick at Bobby’s place.

He probably would have knocked down most of the cabin if Cas didn’t fix him, simply because he had no place to go, and no doors big enough to crawl out of. All scrunched in a corner, and the only reason he couldn’t try and stop Celeste himself was because of the pain he was in from his bones expanding.

((There’s a good reason the victims of her curse often are unconscious for the good part of a week after it hits. Extremely compacted, extremely fast.))

The main thing about the Lounge is, Gabriel buffered it for size different interactions. The borrowers can’t be deafened if you yell, and no one can get hurt. Sam and Dean wouldn’t have that luxury. They’d need an interpreter, at least at first, someone who can talk to each of them separately.

I’m pretty sure Bowman would be all sorts of offended if he hears Dean is more giant than his giant now. Considering how serious the problem is in Wellwood, Bobby would definitely hit the road to help.

May 19th excerpt:

Stan’s grip shifted slightly around the box as he settled in the driver’s seat. Without moving it, he tilted his head to look at the side where there was a thin gap in the cardboard so its passenger wouldn’t get stifled. Green eyes widened when they caught sight of something contrasting with the muted color of the box.

Fingers. Absolutely tiny fingers were holding on to the side of the box through that gap.

April 18th excerpt:

For all appearances, the man and his son could be on a family road trip through the scenic mountains together. Nothing out of the ordinary. Rock filtered out of the speakers, bands unaware of the very odd trio they played for.

It wasn’t the man and his son on their own that made the group odd, despite the stories they carried with them. The third passenger was barely two inches tall, and hidden away in a pocket.

April 17th except:

The toy truck next to him almost jumped as Jacob’s dad made his way over to the couch, each footstep like a small-scale earthquake as it landed on the ground. Sam choked back a cry of alarm, stumbling away from the ‘small’ toy that outsized him.
