November 27th excerpt:

“And they found nothing?” Sherlock pressed.

“Not a speck,” Lestrade sighed, shoving his hands into the pockets of his trench coat. “We might as well be dealing with a killer ghost on this one.”

Sherlock rolled his eyes, just barely holding in an exasperated sigh. Of course this was the case he brought Dean along on, only to have that thrown back in his face.

June 29th excerpt:

In annoyance, the little guy stormed out into plain sight. His leather jacket was hastily thrown on and his duffel bag hung askew, and he was glaring right at Sherlock when he came out into the light.

“You know, I’m right there, like two feet away,” Dean complained. “You’re gonna wake the dead one of these days, and the last thing we need to deal with is any vengeful spirits knocking on our doors along with all the rest of the problems going on.”

This is a fun idea! They should do more with spirits that have unfinished business, it feels like that’s an untapped well of ideas just waiting for someone to jump in. If anyone wants to write this out, we’d all love to read it! We’ve got quite a few stories on our plate saved up, so we wouldn’t be able to tackle it.

Random brain farts is 80% of what I come up with.

On a side note, I’ll definitely be having a spirit with “unfinished business” showing up in the future…

October 8th excerpt:

The EMF reader didn’t give him a breath to wait for an answer before it flared to life, its red lights glowing brightly. There was a telltale wobble in a bedframe leaned against the wall, before it tilted away from its position, with no warning other than the creak of cheap old metal.

“Whoa!”

Dean leapt to the side, barely sidestepping out of the way of the heavy furniture. Mere moments ago, it was as stable as anything in the room. Now, it slammed into the ground with a heavy knock.

He hit the ground a foot away, going straight to a crouch. “Sam? Jacob?”

It’s great to hear that you’ve enjoying the unique monsters!

There has been a vengeful spirit in the First Interlude story, it was simply glossed over so the short story could focus on their bonding. Plus we’ve got the demon and Celeste the witch hanging around on the outskirts.

However, there are going to be more spirits coming up as well, along with plans for vampires and maybe a werewolf on the periphery. Remember, this includes the AUs as well, so there’s no way of knowing what will turn up when, or who will turn up. Other Supernatural characters may walk their way in at any point in time.

January 27th excerpt:

“We lived on the road,” Sam said, his ears still slightly red. Hopefully the two humans were too big to notice. “Dad took us from case to case after our mother was killed. Vengeful spirits, poltergeists, werewolves…” He trailed off.

“Witches,” Dean finished, remembering their last fateful case. “And cursed objects. People write strange deaths and disappearances off but there’s always a reason for them. People don’t just die and fade away.”

“Other people just stop looking,” Sam said sadly, picking up the train of thought. Dean wasn’t the only one that wished he could keep others from going through the same hell as they had.
