John wouldn’t leave the poor kid feeling isolated, no matter how…much he is to take in at first. It’s easy to see how sweet the kid is, and once he’s over his jitters from being near someone so large, he’ll gladly offer the kid a cup of tea.

I’m sure we can imagine a cup of tea and a few biscuits to suit Jacob if we can imagine a room big enough to fit him and others with room to spare.

John would be proud to spend a bit of time with Jacob, show him that not everyone will think he’s so scary if given a proper introduction. Even if Sherlock continually prods him about what exactly made him so big.

@neonthewrite

Jacob would very much appreciate John’s efforts (and the tea). Some nice relaxation would be a welcome change from the running and screaming that giant!Jacob is used to. The two sweethearts can have a normal conversation despite Jacob being so huuuge.

He’d be amused by Sherlock’s prodding, if nothing else because Jacob himself has no answers for why he’s so big. He’d like to know just as much. If Sherlock can suss it out, he should tell Jacob before he tells anyone else, please.

@neonthewrite

Oh jeez. Should we count extra small Jacob as his own entity, even though he’s technically human Jacob temporarily shrunk down to the ittiest of the bittiest sizes? It’s definitely more fun that way if I’m honest (and he hates me whenever I muse about him being extra smol).

Oscar would probably be nervous around Sherlock’s brand of intensity that he’s always giving off. He’d have to curl up in a ball or possibly scurry off to hide if this hypothetical lounge has places for that. Maybe he’ll take teddy Jacob along, just to keep him safe.

Of course, if John offered tea, Oscar might be convinced to come out. Maybe. One of the Deans might have to help with the convincing.

@borrowedtimeandspace

John would certainly try to keep the peace with whoever he interacted with, especially if they’re smaller than him. A cup of tea or a shared biscuit would not be missed with him around.

Sherlock, of course, can hardly keep still. Not with, at any given time, a giant, a few smols, an extra-smol, and a sprite! Bowman would probably fascinate him more than any of them, he’d probably have much more to worry about than poor Oscar or wee Jake.

@nightmares06

Aa, a lounge for them all to chill in is just too cute. Human Sam bugging his smol counterparts, especially interested in spritely Sam’s wings, fascinated to see them at work, and excited when Sam’s willing to land on his hand and demonstrate.

The Deans would be in a corner bickering until one of their friends needs help. Then it’s off to scowl at Sherlock for making Oscar nervous.

Last day of Ask the Authors!

Did you ever have any questions for us? Send them in!

@nightmares06, @neonthebright and @borrowedtimeandspace eagerly await your questions! Feel free to ask whatever’s on your mind, and we’ll answer (at our discretion, nothing inappropriate) throughout the weekend, ending tonight.

Our doors will remain open afterwards, so don’t be shy! Hearing from you all, especially considering the AU lounge that came out of this weekend, makes our days a little brighter.

@nightmares06

It’s gonna be a big lounge to fit giant Jacob!

I can certainly see BC Dean putting Dean up to telling Jacob the idea, once they’re all on board with so many versions of themselves. Deans gotta stick together, after all, when they’re not bugging each other.

Meanwhile, John’s gonna see just how tall his tiny Sam is if there’s no curse on him, and he’s lucky if he reaches tall Sam’s shoulder.

@neonthewrite

Giant Jacob would probably be trying (and failing) not to look so big. If he was told that Dean had another even tinier Dean telling him to do things, he might not believe it right away.

If he went along with it anyway (Giant!Jacob would probably be the most likely one, since he’s completely untrained with smoler folk), he at least wouldn’t trap Sherlock or dangle him over the ground. Probably just scoop him up if Dean insisted enough. “What? He said you do this to him, too!”

Jacob the gentle giant might feel left out as the only one so big. Everyone else is so leetle, don’t be afraid of him!

@borrowedtimeandspace –

Hoo boy, this would be an experience for the Baker Street boys. Not only are they face to face with human versions of their smols, but also with an honest-to-god GIANT! They would certainly be bemused to find that their smols are actually taller than them on the same scale. Sherlock would probably be offended.

He’d certainly be betrayed when the Deans conspire to have him plucked up by the giant, the only person in the room they don’t ‘know’. At the very least, it’d be enlightening for him and John to see how they look to the BC bros all the time.

Even if it means Sherlock’s flailing in a giant palm and clinging to giant fingers.

@nightmares06–

I have a feeling Jacob might be a little more willing to believe in the smol bros when Dean starts arguing with thin air.

I don’t think it would ever happen in canon, but I am always down for noncanon prompts! Even if I’m behind on the ones I already have, which are coming along, I promise.

Honestly, I’d never thought of a situation like that. Zepheera’s mother Klerida is a fiery spirit and certainly wouldn’t be an exception to the trend of the Doctor getting slapped by his companion’s mothers. His poor cheek!

But man, would he be honored to meet Zeph’s dad. He’s a much gentler soul than Klerida, but also determined and the incurable optimist. They’d definitely get along if given enough time together.

Who knows, this might pop up as a drabble one day. Thanks for the idea!

My writing buddies @nightmares06 and @neonthewrite and I are taking questions all weekend! More info here! Ask us stuff!

Omg, this takes me waaaaaay back.

Back before BA split itself into a flower of AUs, I was bouncing ideas back and forth with @little-miss-maggie. I don’t remember where the idea for the tiny Impala came from initially, it might have started off as an entertaining lil thing for BA. In fact, I think I was going to initially shrink the car on Dean, and have borrower Sam inside like ????? why dis.

Then we came up with the imp, and the Comeback Kid took off on us. Both throwing out a plethora of ideas for those poor canon bros to put up with. Sam had a rough trip, that’s for sure.

If any of my newer readers are looking to check it out, it’s over at my archive: The Comeback Kid

Let me know what you think!

Honestly, rping that story with @little-miss-maggie was what made me brave enough to ask @neonthebright to write a story with her sprite I fell in love with, and sparked the rest of the BA-verse!

It kind of took off on me! Lol!

When I wrote the first story, it initially was going to be a standalone one part story. I didn’t realize the possibilities until it reached about halfway done. And then it just gained a life of its own and details I never thought would twist together all fit and the plotline even supports the AUs and now it just keeps expanding and twisting new characters into it and I love every second. I always need more.

I keep pulling more writers into my world XD
