September 6th excerpt:

While Dean was distracted, he felt the sleeve of his shirt move, then the sensation of two tiny boots climbing up came. Sam was quick to get to his shoulder while he was down on the ground, claiming his regular perch.

“Ready,” Sam declared in satisfaction.

Dean moved his hands, about to push himself up, when he paused. Sam’s home was wide open. Before leaving, Dean took one of the larger books and placed it so it was blocking the entrance.

I’m a bit disappointed over Jacob not assembling a cage for dear old Vincent, but I’m happy with him turning the car upside down

Lol! I doubt Vince would appreciate that any more than his car being upended, but I don’t think they wanted to risk him being unable to get to help.

They just made it really, really difficult for him to get moving in a timely manner, so they can get a head start on the other hunter, and with any luck, evade him.

Oh, oh! Is it Regarding Jacob?

You nailed it on the head! #rj stands for Regarding Jacob, and these boys are about to have more than they can handle with Jacob going the way of Dean in that similar episode…

The woman merely cocked her head, emotionless as she withdrew her hand. Those cold blue eyes never flickered. “Looks like you need a lesson on who’s really in charge here,” she said calmly. “It was never Dean, bless his stubborn heart. He’s tried so many times to throw himself in my way. It’s never worked out for him.”

Muttering a few obscure words under her breath, the woman sketched an arcane symbol in the air. The blue in her eyes grew stronger and more forceful, chasing the shadows around them away. “What’s a few memories between friends?” she asked rhetorically, then plunged her hand through the air, a thumb planting on Jacob’s forehead. A spark of purple light spread from her thumb to his eyes.

The enchantment rippled from her words to his mind, taking seed and planting itself. As she withdrew her touch and stepped back, shadows rushing from the bushes to engulf her silhouette, all that could be seen as the magic took effect on Jacob was a purple reflection in his eyes, and even that was quenched.

Will we ever get to see the GHOSTFACERS in the ba universe?! I need to see Jake’s reaction to them cause he’s technically a hunter in training and even he would think of them as amateurs!

Lol! I love these nerds!

There is of course, the commission I did for @creatorofuniverses a while back that has the Ghostfacers meeting Walt Watch, which you can find here. Borrower dad is not amused.

What you might not know is they’re already written into one of the AUs in a future story…

“Harry,” Ed said, keeping one hand pressed over the camera bag. “This is it. This is our ticket to the big times. We are going to seize the moment.”

“ ‘Cause tomorrow we might be dead,” Harry repeated back, his mind finally clinging to their motto, what would Buffy do?

“And this is our moment.” Ed shifted in place, and Harry squirreled his way out from the camera case strap so he didn’t pull the bag up off the tiny people trapped under it.

Harry flattened himself on the ground, the EMF reader long since forgotten by his side. One hand was held at the ready. “Okay, little dudes. We’re not gonna hurtcha, we just want to get you out from under that. So… no biting.”

Ed started to tilt the bag up, just enough for Harry to sweep his hand under it, groping for the tiny people hidden underneath.

September 4th excerpt:

Nodding, Dean stood and went over to the shelf, knocking idly at Sam’s wall. “C’mon, pint-size, get your act together!” he called through the holes sculpted into the walls. Both giving Sam a way to communicate, a way to get air, and some extra light on the interior. “The night’ll be half done by the time you’re ready!”

Sam stalked out. “I’m not that slow,” he swore in annoyance.
