Size Difference in Relationships

anonymous asked:

hi I’ve been a big fan of yours ever since I read your stories while you were still in the midst of posting Taken though it’s been more on the stories side and it’s only recently I’ve started reading through everything here so I don’t know if you’ve answered this before, but would you ever write a story where a borrower and a human are in a relationship? could be platonic romance or whatever you feel like but I’m just wondering

It’s so good to hear from you! Good luck going through our tumblr– it’s gotten a bit messy, but there’s a looooooot of stuff here for future stories/snippets/sneak peeks, along with tons of musing and prompts/asks. And all the wonderful arts :3 Not to mention the asks we get in, which are tons of fun answering.

As for relationships. Admittedly, all three writers for the BA multiverse are ace, so we don’t often delve too far in. That said, there are a few relationships that will be shown prominently in the story, and at least one or two will happen with the two people at different sizes!

Stan and Nate are one of our major couples, and being soulmates, they always tend to find their way to each other in the end. Yet with a few storylines we have plotted out, they don’t start or end up at the same size all the time!

Nate’s not going to let a little thing like size keep him from stealing a kiss!

As for same-size relationships, Dean’s had a fling in Brothers Lost with a borrower he encountered on a hunt, and in the last season of Brothers Apart, Sam will also be finding himself some love!

There’s plenty to look forward to 😉

Brothers Saved and growth spurts

anonymous  asked:

(brothers saved) what about when Sam hits his growth spurt and Dean can clearly see his hands and body growing larger

Dean is going to be so torn between upset that Sam’s friggin’ enormous, and the “my giant is bigger than you” mindset,  because you can bet he’s going to be smug as a peacock the second that Sam’s bigger than the person he’s arguing with!

A good look at the size difference between those two when they grow up! Done by the fantastic @wolfie180g

The smol doc

anonymous asked:

I was looking at varaciouspanda’s art in deviantart and i noticed you commissioned them to have a big ol dean being checked by a small john Watson. You ever going to do anything with that?

You bet we will be! (Though it’s Sam and not Dean in the pic)

We commissioned this picture of big Sam and tiny John Watson doctoring him, and there are plans in the works for a future story with these two (and of course some others).

Once @borrowedtimeandspace escapes from school, we have many plans we’ve been cooking up that we hope to get to, and I just had to commission voraciouspanda / @justanothergiant when they opened up commissions, they’re perfect at this style scene!

For anyone that hasn’t seen the art–

Sam’s looking pretty sick, and John’s gotta doc!

A Briefing

( A Brothers Consulted short story, and the prequel to A Burglary at Baker Street )

Stan Baker hadn’t thought about the word ‘borrower’ in ages.

He vaguely remembered a series of stories of the same name that he read when he was in primary school. They depicted tiny little people, inches high, managing to survive by living alongside human beings and picking tiny amounts of food and supplies from them. That much he could recall, so evidently the stories had more of an impact on him than he thought…

The last place he expected to experience nostalgia for a children’s story was during a surprise meeting with his employer.

At first Stan thought he’d misheard; he had been winding down for the night before receiving his summons. He’d hurried over so fast he hadn’t had time to brush away all the dog hair from the cuffs of his trousers and the hem of his dark wool coat, perhaps he was still reeling from the rush to his employer’s office.

No. The boss was completely serious. Apparently, the existence of people so small came to his attention through Sherlock Holmes, of all people. The consulting detective had become involved with some of the (actual, real) tiny people.

A pair of brothers called the Winchesters.

Stan didn’t get to learn much about them before his employer got down to business, unfortunately. As fascinating as the stuff about borrowers was, it was only a small part of the mission.

The agent thumbed through the file given to him and listened to the briefing in a bit of a haze. All the information was in his hands, allowing Stan to quietly marvel at the revelation of tiny people. A concept so fantastical that it was universally consigned to childhood imagination.

The others are never going to believe this…

(If I get anything wrong, please let me know)You said Destiel and Johnlock isn’t canon in the BA universe, so I get that there not gonna be together, but does that necessarily mean that all four of them are heterosexual?(Aside from whether it will actually show in the stories).I know you have quite a few lgbt OCs(Stan, Nathan, Chase, Jacob, did I miss anyone?), are there any other characters from the LGBT society? I love all your characters and your work is amazing! Thank for being so awesome!

Well, you’ve got it half right– two of the four are hetero!

Dean and John stick with strictly hetero relationships in the Brothers Apart multiverse, but Sherlock and Cas are another story.

As an angel of the Lord, Castiel in his angelic form is both agender and asexual. He does take on the attributes of his vessel if he inhabits them for long enough, so when Dean knows him he is a male, while he has also been a female in the distant past. Sherlock, as well, is asexual, married to his work more than any person he could fall in love with.

As far as other characters that appear in the storylines that are on the LGBT spectrum, we do actually have quite a few others…

Celeste, like her younger brother Castiel, was agender and asexual, though in the past she has shown a liking for women, and has currently been inhabiting a vessel for several hundred years, giving her a female way of thinking as she picks up her vessel’s habits.

All aeternum sprites are strictly feminine. There are no males of their race (making Sam quite an odd sight for Nixie!), and they do have relationships with each other. The fire sprites especially, with the burning passion that they feel for all things. Air sprites as well, though those relationships tend to spark quickly and end fast. Water and earth are more subdued, but very committed partners.

The characters Bardolph and Xander (who appear in this short story, and will be appearing later on in Brothers Apart season 3), are a pair of borrowers that will also fit on the spectrum. Barry has no interest in women, and Xander is surprised to find out he’s interested in both men and women. They’re particular faves.

Barry and Xander, done by @dolphiana!

Adriana the witch is as straight as a lightning bolt, but not in a good way. She’s perfectly willing to use people, men or women, to further her cause. Relationships are no exception.

@neonthebright

Yep, you got Jacob and Chase right! Jacob Andris is ace/aro, so he’d be less interested in dating and more interested in being your buddy. He’s a very good hugger and listener, so that’s a good combo right there. Chase Lisong is bisexual with no strong preference of any gender over another.

In addition to them, nearly every one of my sprites (including Bowman Leafwing) is biromantic/demisexual.

I also have Elias Dawn, a genderfluid/pansexual trickster that may someday make an appearance in the BA Multiverse!

Can you tell me about your OC Noonia the dragon?

nightmares06:

Sure! I’d love to!

Noonia is an OC that I made a few years back, when I was writing one of my spn g/t stories (The Schism of Fire and Water from the @brothersapart universe ). She’s the life partner of a fire sprite, Ilyana, and lives in the realm of the sprites with her.

She only shows up a few times in that story, but I do have a follow-up story that will feature her a lot once it gets written. She’ll be making sure Ilyana’s newest incarnation doesn’t get into any trouble, and will be following that sprite (and their borrower buddy) around like a hawk.

For a dragon, she’s actually only a few inches big, so she’s just about big enough to carry a borrower on her back!

@justanothergiant actually helped redesign her for me, I’m a big fan of how she ended up looking!

Of course, if you have a dragon following you around, be sure not to ignore her too long…

Let me know if you want to hear more about her or anyone else!
