Sadly for Dean, their spell undid everything the chaos priest did.
Including quarters and man-eating giants.
Such is life and loss. Dean will find that quarter MIA when he goes looking for it, along with any other items from Jacob’s pockets that were hanging around.
Lol! I’m sure he’d get a kick out of what happened to Sam and Dean in that story! Alas, he was elsewhere, making mayhem while Sam and Dean dealt with a giant in their backyard
“Hey, Dean, why don’t you show Nate your place?” Stan suggested, lowering the hand holding Dean next to the little box set up for him. He hoped that giving him something to do would be better than leaving him on the same counter while he rummaged through the cabinets for a minute or two.
Dean’s eyebrows rose, and he looked between the two humans. “Uh, right!” he said, raising his voice to be heard over the crackle of the onions cooking.
Stan stiffened from head to toe the second Dean set foot on his hand, struck by the no-longer-familiar sensation. He was just so tiny, most of Stan’s fingers outsized Dean and that was far from a comfort. Though Stan could only remember bits and pieces of the last borrower he’d ever held, he remembered them being so much bigger in his hands.
He wasn’t a child anymore. He’d grown up, and his hands were no exception.
Good question! And one that I grappled with a while back.
In essence, removing Sam’s soul from his body won’t cause his body to grow back. If it did, we’d have dead borrowers popping back to normal size all the time!
Essentially, the curse needs to be stripped from the host soul in order for them to return back to their normal size. Otherwise it leaves an imprint on the body it left behind and small they stay. This is something that Celeste, and only Celeste, knows how to do, and she’s certainly not about to just casually go break her own curse. She’s the only one able to tamper with her own archangel Grace that’s been intertwinned with the borrower souls.
“Why don’t you two hang out for a bit?” Nate suggested to the both of them, gently moving his hand away from his chest. He was careful to shift slowly so Dean wasn’t leaning on or clinging to his shirt; it wouldn’t do to have the little fella fall off his hand. “I’ve got dinner to start, shouldn’t take too long but I’ll need both hands.”
Despite blinking confusedly at Nathan, Stan’s hands rose to meet his as Nate held Dean out to him, and they stayed there awaiting the borrower.

I don’t get artsy too often, but I decided to throw my hat into the ring and make a Halloween costume for Oscar as a part of the contest set up by @neonthebright ! I’m not really sure why, but the first thought that came to my mind for a costume for Oscar was to dress him up like Fievel the mouse from the American Tail movies! With a bit of string to use as a tail and a little bit of paint of the whiskers, he’s ready to go! Oscar seems a little unsure about it, but at least it’s a comfy costume! 😁
