August 28th excerpt:
He glanced back to Bowman, who waited on his palm. “Y’know, Bowman, I think the more help we can bring in, the better,” he admitted.
Bowman perked up, and Jacob saw understanding in those green eyes. Bowman might not know how a lot of “human stuff” worked, but he was a smart little guy. “Dean and Sam,” he said.
Jacob nodded. “Dean and Sam,” he agreed. “I’m betting they can weigh in on this, too.”
Aww!
Stan will definitely be involved in this AU, but he won’t be discovering the brothers until a bit deeper in.

It’s definitely a crossover!
It won’t be a crossover with Doctor Who. We did attempt one, long before Brothers Consulted was conceived. It was called Brothers Spaced and I don’t think we got more than a chapter into it because Dean and Zepheera are a gigantic clash for such little people.
( @borrowedtimeandspace: seriously, they just shouted at each other for like three pages. Doc would be so fret if he discovered the kiddos though! )
She’s involved in the AU only as far as the curse is concerned. Discovered, so far, is not very heavily Celeste-intensive like certain others.
Of course, if the idea strikes, it may become more involved with our favorite witch any day!

Nope, there won’t be any Jacob discovering the brothers here. Right now we don’t have any new ideas for this that wouldn’t be Brothers Unexpected + Dean, so it’ll stay to the side under ‘possible futures.’
You’ll definitely like this AU then! Currently, our ideas are ~90% kids, ~10% adults. It’ll even out as we develop it, but it’s definitely heavier on the Weechester end of things.
August 27th excerpt:
“Stay with me, buddy,” Jacob encouraged before Bowman could ramble more. He curled his thumb and brushed it against Bowman’s wing. The wing twitched, and Bowman shot him an offended glare. “Start at the beginning for me. I’ll do whatever I can but you gotta keep me up to speed, dude.”
Bowman rolled his eyes. Jacob saw some of the familiar sass back in the sprite’s posture. “Yeah, I’ll keep up the speed,” he groused, mincing the phrase like he often did. Still the same Bowman.
What makes Brothers Apart different than Brothers Found?
Brothers Lost different than Brothers Consulted?
Brothers Saved different from the old Cursed Dean AU?
I like to think all our storylines have their own charm to them, and this one is more unique than most.
You won’t get a more exact answer to this question.
I like to think, if John Winchester found them, it would be saving, not catching.
Their dad would look out for them, and he’d be determined to find a way to break their curse. He might be frustrating at times, but he still cares for his only remaining family.
Neither John Winchester nor Bobby Singer will feature in BD in any way.

This won’t be an AU with multiple of each brother. The picture itself shows how far they come in the years between when the story starts and where it goes. Rest assured that we’ll see a lot of Sam and Dean growing up together.
The time travel ideas, which I didn’t even consider until seeing these asks, sound really adorable. Maybe another day.
This AU is very different from the others, giving us a huge amount of room to play without worrying about the Supernatural storyline interfering.
