June 22nd excerpt:

Sherlock’s brow furrowed and he exchanged a meaningful look with John, who sank into a chair again in preparation for a long talk. The detective moved his microscope from in front of him to his work table so he could lean forward and keep eye contact with Dean unobstructed.

“John.”

“Yeah?” John glanced over his shoulder.

“If I start talking, shut me up.”

Shot in the Dark – GT Book Available on Amazon!!

bittykimmy:

Hey y’all!

My amazing friend/co-author Obsess-Confess and I have put up our first GT novel on Amazon!! Please consider buying a copy and leaving a review! A lot of love and time has been poured into this project, and we are so proud of the final product!

If you love GT, fairies, fluff, angst, and adventure, you’ll love it! I’ve also posted shorts revolving around the characters Jon, Cliff, and Sylvia. If you enjoyed those, here’s your chance to see how they met! ❤

What exactly is Shot in the Dark about? Here’s the synopsis:

Curiosity comes at a price.

It isn’t that fairies don’t exist. They just don’t want to be found. And it isn’t that Sylvia wants to be found. She just doesn’t want to be cooped up. She lives from risk to risk, slipping regularly out of her village to satisfy her need to explore. Her harmless adventuring comes to a devastating halt when she is slammed with way more than she bargained for– a bullet through her wing that renders her flightless and leaves her at the mercy of two towering humans, Jon and Cliff.

Sylvia is certain there is zero chance of survival, but despite the warnings that have been drilled to her since childhood, the humans aren’t quite as murderous as she expected. Under the assumption that it’s only temporary, she creates friendships where she shouldn’t.

However, her intention to get home as soon as possible doesn’t pan out so smoothly. One complication after another sets her back, and all the while, she finds herself entranced by the fascinating and terrifying outside world that she once could only dream of. Now that she has gotten a taste of freedom, she’s not sure if she’s ready to give it up– no matter the cost.

Click here if you’re interested in purchasing! It’s available in e-book and paperback format!

Bowman Lost Excerpt

neonthewrite:

He hated that look on the human’s face, the one that said he thought Bowman was trained. Every time Bowman acted like he was “supposed to”, that smirk appeared. Bowman wanted to kick the giant right in the face for it.

“Good,” the human said, glancing back to his healer show. “You can show off your wings as much as you want, so don’t worry about that.”

“Your generosity is astounding,” Bowman muttered in response.

June 21st excerpt:

Another chime rang out from his pocket, and this time John bothered to check it. He gave a small sigh, turning a flat glare in Sherlock’s direction.

“Really? We’re in the same room, Sherlock.”

The detective’s frown deepened, unwavering. John rolled his eyes and read the texts.

We need to talk – SH

JOHN – SH

As stated in the notes of the story, Brothers Found came about directly after A Lich of Sense was completed, when we were bouncing around story ideas and doing ‘mini-rps’ in Skype that we’d just randomly scrap and start anew.

When this one began to take form more than the others, and gave birth to the idea of the horror story, instead of scrapping it, redoing probably over a hundred thousand words and losing all momentum for the horror story, we simply moved the rp from Skype to google docs for editing, and cleaned it up.

(That was! A lot of hard work! Don’t use Skype for rps!)

Brothers Found = Brothers Apart if Jacob came into it first. No more, no less. Until we stumbled over the idea for the horror story and the story grew into its own. And remember– this AU was the first we created and you have these stories to thank for all the others that came after.

So enjoy the nuggets. We never promised this was anything else.

June 20th excerpt:

This movement caught Dean off guard, and left the smaller man clinging to the curls in surprise. “What did I say about movin?’ “ he scolded, frozen in place until he was absolutely certain Sherlock wasn’t going to knock him off. “This is hard enough already! I’d like to see you climb someone’s hair.

Taking a deep breath to steel himself and forcing any thought of how high up he was suspended in the air on a moving person, Dean started to climb again.

Only now, he put more effort into where his boots dug into Sherlock’s scalp.

For traction.
