Prompts

Hello!

I just wanted to make an actual announcement post to point out that prompts are open on this blog. I always love new ideas and I figured, why not let my followers know I’m accepting theirs?

Keep in mind that I can’t do them immediately and they will likely be done as inspiration strikes for them. They could be anywhere from a 500 word drabble or a multi-part short story!

What I will write:

  • Shorts that have to do with my existing stories (including noncanon and AU)
  • New premise ideas that you may decide to toss my way
  • Writing challenges
  • Fluff. Angst. Either is fine by me.
  • GT, for those of you who love some fun size shenanigans

What I will not write:

  • NSFW subject matter (porn, excessive gore)
  • Things pushed at me from insistent askers; I have been harassed to complete a story before and the result was me chopping the story off before it was really done. If you pester me your prompt is going to get deleted no matter how promising it was.

What I will write but is guaranteed to take a long time:

  • Things with characters that are not mine. Fanfiction is a medium that I have a lot of difficulty with personally, and while I certainly enjoy some here and there, I always do better (and write faster) with my own characters.

Alright, you know the rules:

Prompt away!

Prompts open for @neonthewrite! If anyone wants to see more of Oscar, Jacob, Bowman or the others, drop her a line!

They do have private booths for the smols! A few of the tables have the little tables in the center, but with walls around them in case the smols want to relax out of sight of all the different humans around.

I don’t think smol kiddo Dean will be too overwhelmed by all his counterparts, they’ll let Sam fetch his older brother if it gets to be too much, and those two will be as thick as thieves. Sam will make sure if Dean starts to get nervous, they take a break in the corner, probably taking a turn on the arcade machines.

May 14th excerpt:

The creak of a car door opening, so familiar in his not-so-distant memory, made Jacob freeze. He clung desperately to the weave of the fabric around him as Dean’s body shifted and angled with the motions of getting into a car. Jacob had never imagined he’d learn what that felt like to pocket change. He flinched at the sound of the door slamming closed again, and the silence afterwards closed in around him.

“D-Dean, please,” Jacob blurted, trying again to stand in the pocket now that only Dean’s breathing and heartbeat disturbed it. He was mostly successful, by clinging to the fabric and twining his fingers between the threads.

Can you just see spritely Sam’s debut? Swooping right over Jacob’s head when he gets there, Bowman right alongside him?

He’ll have no shortage of hands to land on, once he recovers from the sight of all those Deans, and will be disappointed to find that none are his. Poor guy needs to find his brother.

But of course, then he’ll be showing off his glider, as much in love with it as Dean is with the Impala. We still need a picture of the glider, its wings designed after Bowman’s and made to soar through the forest.

May 13th excerpt:

The chest pocket on his jacket provided the answer. Dean flipped open the flap of the pocket and judged the size of the fabric enclosure compared to the person in his hand. If anything, Jacob was small enough to fit with room to spare. Perfect.

Dean gave a sigh as he lowered a struggling Jacob into the pocket. “It’ll be safer in here. That way no one else will see you.” His fingers released the kid, dropping him the last inch down. Just to be safe, Dean buttoned the pocket up. He didn’t want to risk the kid trying to jump down from so high up. If he didn’t notice a foolhardy stunt like that in time, he could get seriously injured or hurt.

Jacob’s definitely got a lot of sizes to choose from! Poor guy just never gets a break (from me. It’s my fault). They’d all probably be amused to see themselves at different scales, all side by side. He could simultaneously feel like he’s gigantic to the smols, but also sooooo tiny to the humans. Lucky the Lounge magically makes it easier to not be confused about stuff like that!
