Sam’s knack will actually only work on humans – and it won’t work on any human that got cursed by Celeste! So he can’t tell if Dean is looking at him in Brothers Lost, which is a good thing because it also means that Dean can’t screw it up by glancing over at him.

If a human shrinks down by another method, he will still be able to tell if they are watching. It is only humans cursed by the method Celeste uses that are an exception to this rule.

Truthfully, I came up with the ability during Taken. So yes, he does have it, but it didn’t start to show up until then. It’ll be more prominent in the other AUs earlier, but you can see it from Taken and on. In fact in Adventures at Bobby’s, Sam discovers that Dean does not set off his danger sense at all. He can tell that Dean is looking, but he can also tell that the gaze on him is safe.

It would most likely be in the BL verse. BA is very planned out, with a specific storyline that the stories are following. BL is a budding AU, with ideas being bounced around for all kinds of cases, and other crossovers even.

XD Who knows. I’m sure the Deans would be coming up with nicknames for everyone and each other.

June 13th excerpt:

“I guess I’ll just lie up on the bed for now, give you guys some floorspace if you want it. Okay?” Jacob waited to make his move, knowing that even though things were much more at ease, he couldn’t take it for granted. Even Sam and Dean didn’t like it much when he loomed, so advance warning was always welcome.

Walt took an uncertain step back, unconsciously raising his blade-wielding arm. The instinct was strong in him to vanish behind the nightstand at the thought of the human in the room getting up, but he suppressed it. Sam and Dean hadn’t moved, and he was driven to match them.

“No one’s stopping you,” Walt shot back stubbornly. Somewhere deep inside, his mind wondered what he was thinking, backtalking a giant like that.

Our writing process? Let’s see…

First off, we spend a lot of time talking about different scenarios between the characters. It’s mostly spitballing ideas or coming up with cool ideas for monsters at the time, but a lot of the ideas stick and then start to grow.

Once we find something that sounds like a good story, we play around with different ideas for it, acting out little scenes and switching things up (and occasionally going I have an idea, and if you ever hear that it’s usually a sign for angst).

Though at the beginning of when we started writing these AUs it was just for fun, we now have a distinct plan and list of story ideas. Once we finish one, there’s always another story just begging to be written, which is how we keep our momentum going. It’s very important to not lose momentum.

Editing tends to take the longest, which is why despite the fact that we have a good amount of stories finished, not many are ready for posting. We are slowly working through editing and getting the stories beta read.

What we’ve found is our characters have great chemistry together, so we can throw them together and think something’s going to happen, then discover the characters just go and do their own thing anyway. (Dean and Jacob//Dean and Bowman are good examples. It’s almost impossible to know what’s going to happen with these pairs)

90% of our stories come from one of us going I have an idea and the other one going Oh no.

June 12th excerpt:

With a whirl in her faded green dress, Mallory padded right past Sam and Dean in her soft-soled shoes. They were left staring at each other, jaws slightly ajar.

After a beat of hesitation, all three of Mallory’s tall boys jumped into action to try and catch her, Dean scrambling to grab the knives from the ground.

“Wait!”

Something along the lines of …

And…

(Note: the sizing in the Dean pic is off from the horror story scale)

Those two brothers would be so overprotective of their downsized giant, they probably wouldn’t let him touch the ground. He might end up spending a lot of time being toted around in Dean’s duffel bag.

They would have to call someone up for help though. Jacob’s the driver, how can they research this without their driver?!

All wonderful art by @mogadeer

Poor everyone in this horror story! I think the only person to get off light would be…

Oh, wait. That would be telling. I’ll be good and try and keep the spoilers down. We await this story being voted in with excitement!

VoraciousPanda is an amazing artist and their style was just perfect for the picture. Give them some love for their great work and we hope to commission them again soon!

June 11th excerpt:

“Mallory even went so far as to make us clothes like we used to wear.” Dean plucked at his jeans. “Believe it or not, leather jackets and jeans ain’t exactly popular down here.”

“Or duffel bags,” Sam chimed in. “But boots are. Everyone’s got a pair but our adopted mom.”

Ah, nope! If that other answer was confusing, it just means that Jacob from his canon story would have been a better option to meet than the Brothers Lost version of him! If he’s met little guys before, Jacob learns very quickly to treat them like people. He’s already learned not to keep pie from Dean, after all! There’s hope for him yet, like there always is.

Just for clarity, in every AU except for Brothers Apart that we have created so far, Jacob and Bowman have not met each other at the time of the first story in each AU.

If they had, Bowman would give this Jacob a good bopping for sticking Dean in a coffee pot. Bowman’s Jake knows better than to treat smols like that. Silly boy.
