It is indeed!

It was presented as a prize for the contest for BA that ran early this year, and will be one of the prizes in future contests. (Contest posts)

Of course, not everyone likes to participate in contests, so if anyone ever wants to do a trade, feel free to message me! It will depend on finances at the time whether I accept the trade or not, but I know some of you out there would love to have a copy, and since it’s fanfiction it won’t ever be for sale and I’d love to help get it to you!

I’m pretty skittish, so I’d probably freeze right up if I saw them in my house. Dean would be dragging Sam out as fast as he can, ushering his little brother into the walls. I’m sure they’d have Jacob close by, so I’d have to keep an eye out for really tall lurkers wearing hoodies who are trying to be sneaky (Dean’s making him work on that).

Mostly, they just take efforts to keep the bugs out of their own supplies. Cockroaches wouldn’t bother them much, but if the population of cockroaches grows too large, they’ll have to make efforts to reduce it so the humans don’t call pest control. Everyone would be at risk if that happened. Out in the wild, the small folk would just ignore the cockroaches and the cockroaches would ignore them in turn. To each their own.

Oh dear. Dean’s going to be in so much trouble, trying to get all those braids out of his hair XD And now his room’s like a minefield, and Sam’s laughing it up from under the nightstand! These are pretty good for a little guy! Dean’s gonna have to figure out how to get some revenge!

Well, he’d be more prepared for strange things happening to him. At ten, he was only just learning about the supernatural. If he was older, say between sixteen and twenty, he might not have had to live so long without Dean or John.

Based on how they lived, John probably got a cell phone as soon as he could, and would want to keep in touch with his sons. Sam might be able to slip away from Walt and call up his big brother, resulting in them reuniting much earlier on. Dean would have more experience with people the size of his finger, and Sam would trust his brother much faster.

If Sam was cursed as an adult, he’d be even more in tune with Dean. They’d tease each other constantly, and he might be stressed about any thoughts of being stuck that way, but he’d have Dean with him and that’s a much better prospect that being trapped on his own.

I’m not the grabby type, so there’s that. (There was a mouse that got itself stuck in my garbage when I was just a wee kid, and I couldn’t bring myself to look in the bin to see what was scrabbling around until my dad found me and then let the mouse go outside). I’d probably just freeze up as much as him, then maybe talk if he didn’t dart off.

Hopefully we’d be able to track down Dean after that! I wouldn’t have to worry about getting punched like Jacob did – I’m like half his size.

Good news! Sam and Dean are in all of my stories.

But seriously. We do what we do here for fun and enjoyment. Writing is a good way to relieve stress after a long day of work, and I have to tell you that writing any stories that are episode centric are incredibly stressful and will slow down my writing pace to a crawl.

I’m already having issues with writer’s block, that wouldn’t help me (or you, if you want to read my stories).

Now, as stated before, Brothers Apart is and will remain solely about the brothers. That does not mean that we will not have other characters appearing. Jacob and Bowman will be in the series again, in one of the stories we’ve built up the most anticipation for! We can’t wait to start writing it! Other characters will appear as well, including some of my other babies, like Elenia, Noonia, Barry and Xander.

Even Supernatural has recurring characters that are invited back onto the show.

For a bit of extra information, Celeste has always been a part of Brothers Apart from the beginning. She’s in the first story, and she will be in the last one. She is their Big Bad, the monster that keeps coming back. Will she live forever? Only the future will tell. But just keep in mind – I love and adore Supernatural, but I am not a writer for the show. You will always have my characters and neon’s characters appearing in the stories, and who knows. There might even be others that show up in the future.

BA has taken on a life of its own and no longer follows either an adapted canon storyline or a sprite divergence (aside from them appearing in a few monster-of-the-week style cases, do expect to see both versions of sprites back down the line).

Writing is an art and putting shackles on it that say you can only write this story this way is the absolute best way to end up with no story.
