Hi Hi, so I was just wondering, when did you start getting into g/t? Just curious😊

Hmm, I think I’ve always been into it! I just didn’t know it growing up.

My favorite books had fairies, especially The Fairy Rebel. I reread that one constantly. TV shows with shrinking sequences always cheered me up to see. The Incredible Shrinking man horrified child-me beyond anything else, and once I recovered from the constant nightmares, I’d always be thinking up everything that could go wrong if I started shrinking like that.

Once I saw The Borrowers movie, they owned my heart.

Also, my mom likes a lot of this kind of stuff, so it’s not like it was discouraged. She’d cover our home in fairy homes and artwork for Tinkerbell. So it runs in the family!

What would have happened if Cas didn’t manage to shrunk Dean back down? Would he be forced to become Bobby’s newest resident (and even bigger bottomless bag)? And how would he and Sam interact again (some of the Lounge ideas would be good, but still, angst)? Also I can imagine Bowman’s shock when Bobby goes instead of Dean and Sam somehow explains his brother ended up more giant than ever (prompt, maybe?) ~Sassy

They’d have to get him to Bobby’s, first! They took a road trip to Rufus’s cabin for the setup, knowing she wouldn’t fall for the trick at Bobby’s place.

He probably would have knocked down most of the cabin if Cas didn’t fix him, simply because he had no place to go, and no doors big enough to crawl out of. All scrunched in a corner, and the only reason he couldn’t try and stop Celeste himself was because of the pain he was in from his bones expanding.

((There’s a good reason the victims of her curse often are unconscious for the good part of a week after it hits. Extremely compacted, extremely fast.))

The main thing about the Lounge is, Gabriel buffered it for size different interactions. The borrowers can’t be deafened if you yell, and no one can get hurt. Sam and Dean wouldn’t have that luxury. They’d need an interpreter, at least at first, someone who can talk to each of them separately.

I’m pretty sure Bowman would be all sorts of offended if he hears Dean is more giant than his giant now. Considering how serious the problem is in Wellwood, Bobby would definitely hit the road to help.

I don’t know why, but when looking at Brothers Chosen I started wondering how things would unfold if Sherlock was one of the small folk instead (maybe Watson too, but mostly Sherlock)

Tiny Sherlock would be a lot like tiny Dean in so many respects. So much attitude and bravado and bristle all packed into an itty bitty body, practically overflowing. Of course he’s still cleverer than all those humans, even if he is forced to stay in hiding most of the time, which he would be very grumpy about. Borrower Sherlock has a chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove.

Im sorry to ask this, but in wich stories does Stan appear? Ive seen him all over your blog but never in your stories. (Wich are great by the way, im always waiting for new chapters in all the AU’s) Anyways, keep up the wonderful work! Ive been a fan since 2016-ish, and your stories never fail to bore me! And the g/t is great aswell. Wow, this just turned into a compliment….. But I really do appriciate you!

Ah, thank you so much! Getting comments like this really make my day!

Stan Baker is an OC that belongs to @borrowedtimeandspace. His first appearance will be in the next Brothers Consulted story, A Burglary at Baker Street. He began as a throwaway character with a bit part who was meant to get Sherlock and Dean from point A to point B with minimum fuss, and then he started talking to Dean and just… blossomed.

((Sherlock was disgruntled))

Thus far in our announced series, Stan will be making appearances in Brothers Consulted, Brothers Kept, Brothers Discovered as a child (he’s just one year older than Dean!), and Brothers Chosen as a borrower.

He’ll likely be seen in any collaboration I do in the British half of the Brothers Apart multiverse with @borrowedtimeandspace, as he’s become one of the most beloved characters when we write, and as you can see, we have a hard time not sharing it with everyone! Trust me, we’re looking forward to when he finally makes his advent in the stories!

for the echolocation knack, look up “Human echolocation – Daniel Kish, ‘Batman'” the borrower wouldn’t have to scream

The part in the ask was just a joke, and for most borrowers, echolocation wouldn’t be a useful ability, as they can all see in the dark from their time living in the walls. The Grace allowed them to adapt to the life they live quickly.

This would be a very useful ability for a blind borrower, along with a few others that also enhance senses.
