If Sam’s curse is bounded to his soul, what would happen to him if is soulless? Will he grow back or stay small? Will the curse just be easier to lift?

Good question! And one that I grappled with a while back.

In essence, removing Sam’s soul from his body won’t cause his body to grow back. If it did, we’d have dead borrowers popping back to normal size all the time!

Essentially, the curse needs to be stripped from the host soul in order for them to return back to their normal size. Otherwise it leaves an imprint on the body it left behind and small they stay. This is something that Celeste, and only Celeste, knows how to do, and she’s certainly not about to just casually go break her own curse. She’s the only one able to tamper with her own archangel Grace that’s been intertwinned with the borrower souls.

Dean won’t trust Sam so easily but he also won’t know immediately that this is his Sam.

( Wasn’t totally sure which AU this was for, but either way!! )

Dean’s always had his problems with being suspicious. I think if Sam does it right, he’ll be able to worm his way right through any chink in Dean’s armor, and in the BA stories, Dean has plenty of chinks. Poor scarred bby, separated from his little brother so long ago.

I imagine that Dean’s probably upset about not being able to hunt monsters, so a hunt that Sam can’t solve cause he’s too tol might be a good starter.

Dean will be so stuffy about the fact that Sam’s a full-fledged hunter but he’s never even gotten the chance!

The amount of sass Sam will get if there’s a hunt where Dean happens to be the more useful size than Sam. So much. Sam’s going to get called all the nicknames. Every nickname. Damn Sasquatch. Why’d he have to go and get so tall?!?! At least Dean’s the only one that can navigate so easily in the vents between them. Sam would practically have to worm his ways into the vents, and that’s if they’re even big enough to fit him at all.

I love how the dynamic varies depending on who’s big among the main three boys. Jacob’s the chillest tol, of course, and I think Sam comes second.

I think, for these three, it’s certainly:

Jacob– most chill. Unless he’s new to smols, in which grabs will happen.

Sam– somewhat chill. Tends to be overconfident and assumes the smol will not escape him.

Dean– no chill. What is chill? Must just be the A/C. He’ll go get a vase for the smol and spend the next three hours sassing them.

You reposted my old ff from so many years ago, and I didnt recognize it until I saw the author was me! So many spelling errors and Pentagon when I ment pentagram. At least j got a little better since then.

I love that story! It’s always been a fave!

I’m trying to get some way of cataloging the fanfics for BA, and hopefully get more people over and reading them on the other sites. And have them look in some kind of order, since there’s so many different sites they can be on and even I can lose track of good stories. Let me know if you don’t want your stories to have a post like that and I can always take them down!

I think in the new au I’d like to see some pleasant interactions, it looks like Sam has it off to a good start by not trapping Jacob, but just genuine good feels. Like taking dean to see his car, or taking them outside just for funsies.

Oh, yes. Sam’s already looking to be starting off with a better record than Dean.

No vase, for one.

They’ll definitely have to take Dean to see his car! It might be one of the few things to coax him out into the open like that, while he’s still getting to know Sam all over again.

Sam is so going to try and low-key spoil his (tiny) big brother once they clear that mess all up! After all, he thought Dean died protecting him. Now Sam knows Dean survived abandoned.

Is tiny Sam stronger than tiny Dean?

Only as much as full sized Sam is larger and stronger than his older brother!

On the same size scale, the brothers are as equal as they are in canon. Both receive the strength boon that borrowers get.

Compared to a human at the same size, they’re both around 12 to 13x stronger. With training and proper nutrition, they’ll be closer to 17x their regular strength. So if Dean wanted to, he could dangle Sam by the nape of his neck just as much as Sam does.

He just happens to be shorter, so it’s nowhere near as easy, ffs. Stop that, Sam!
