With two concurrent contests, the prizes have changed from last year. This year there will be two grand prizes! Hello all followers and fans!
From January 1st, 2016 to March 31st, 2016, there is a contest running for Brothers Apart!
All art mediums are welcome, but the art must be based off of one of the stories within the Brothers Apart Universe.
Literature is accepted, so feel free to enter in any story entries you want. The stipulation is if it is a multi-part story, all parts must be up by March 31st.
You may create an entry based on one of the various AU’s (Brothers Lost, Brothers Together, ect…) or create your own AU, but if it is canon brothers, it is not Brothers Apart, and therefore not accepted, unless they’re interacting with the BA bros.
or create your own OC’s to interact with them! It’s fun to do!
Just a friendly reminder that if anyone has any prompts for Oscar and his adventures with the brothers, they are currently open! Remember, the more prompts and ideas we get for them, the longer the story will go for before it concludes. All rules for standard prompts apply, and you can find them here.

Asks and submissions are open as always for all AU’s!
Considering their run of luck, it’s a definite possibility. Dean takes every precaution around the room when they’re alone, including salt lines around the room and sleeping with his colt under his pillow. Sam doesn’t go far from Dean at night, sleeping on the pillow next to where his brother is.
And most nights, Dean hugs the pillow he’s on.
If anything happens, they’ll have to deal with it as best they can.
All the fluff ever… but always beware the onset of unexpected feels.
Currently, he’s off on a hunt and gave the brothers a timeline of about a month before he returns. He’ll be seen again.
It would be hard and ill-advised to keep secrets like Oscar’s people away from him, but they could only risk it if they knew the little guys in the walls were safe. They can’t risk Oscar’s secret lightly. Considering his son is one of them, John wouldn’t be likely to hunt them.
And if he tried, Dean would stand against him.
I think BT Dean being taller than canon Dean would make sense honestly now that it’s mentioned, since lack of good nutrition/ food really does stunt growth. So now that Dean doesn’t have to sacrifice nearly as much for Sam, maybe he would grow that extra inch or two.
The difference between Brothers Together and Brothers Apart will be that Sam will actually be growing up with Dean. So instead of going from one extreme to the other like in the original story, it’s going to happen gradually. Sam will adjust as they both grow and it’ll feel normal to him to see Dean at his adult size by the time they get there. In this AU they’re going to be more adjusted to each other than they are in BA from the start.
Oh, I wish I had the time. Sadly, most of my time is actually consumed by either writing Brothers Apart or by work. The prompts get done when I’m frozen on my story, and I wouldn’t be able to make a complete storyline for Dean Rescues Sam between all of that.
In fact, the only reason I’ve been able to put together a complete story for Hershey Kisses and Salt Lines is because of my cowriter. Without @neonthewrite it never would have come this far. Writing together helps keep the creative ideas flowing… and of course, the prompts we get for the story! So give her some thanks for being such a huge help! 🙂
