May 4th excerpt:

Ducking close to one of the houses he was passing by, he lifted the hand holding Jacob up so they could talk quick and shushed the kid, placing a finger lightly against Jacob’s lips to keep him from drawing attention to himself.

May 3rd excerpt:

Jacob struggled then, while they turned away from his home. He couldn’t even see it, with the way his captor held him so close to his chest. Jacob breathed quickly and shoved at the index finger nearest him to no effect. “S-somebody help me! ” he cried out, even knowing his voice was much too quiet for someone to hear. He was the easiest kidnapping victim anyone could have found.

A glance downward showed just how quickly he was being whisked away. He looked straight up, and got a view of the underside of the man’s jaw. “Take me back, man, please! W-we can work something out, just don’t do this.”

April 30th excerpt:

Oscar was so dizzy from leaving the floor behind so fast that he almost didn’t realize what had caused it. With the words echoing so close to where he sat now, it clicked. He’d been picked up, plucked right off the floor. The hands cupped under him weren’t as massive as they would be if the human was fully grown, but that hardly mattered. Oscar’s weight offered no resistance at all.

He almost shrank away from the fingertip brushing his arm, but then I didn’ wan’ you running away echoed in his head in time with his desperate gasps. He was good and caught now. If he tried to run, he’d just be caught again.

April 21st excerpt:

Green eyes that put Dean’s to shame, a shock of red hair that looked perfectly wild and a pale complexion that nearly matched the borrowers who never saw the sun, the man touched the glass near Dean with a long finger that outsized the borrower.

Captivated by the intense gaze, Dean couldn’t help but lean forward and flatten his hand against the side of the glass to see the sheer difference between them. Compared to Stan’s fingertip, his hand was too small to fill the entire area, the tips of his fingers falling just short. He could make out every crevice and crack, the whorls of a fingerprint clearer than the words Dean had carved into the wall of his cage.

January 16th excerpt:

Light flooded into the pocket from above. A large finger pulled the flap out of the way, letting Sam peer into the depths of the pocket, the edges of his one visible hazel eye crinkling in concern. The pupil dilated, focusing down on Stan.

“You okay?” came Sam’s voice, this time vibrating out of the very wall next to Stan’s seat.

December 11th excerpt:

That was when he remembered the fingers he was standing next to, and immediately went over to Lestrade’s index finger, wrapping two hands around to try and hoist it over his head. “What about this? Who’s taller?” Dean called, determined to find something he was taller than.

December 9th excerpt:

Leaning over the fingernail, Dean looked closely at all the small ridges, and where the nail met the skin in the quick. He touched the hard surface of the nail itself with a finger, finding it nearly as thick as his pinky when he inspected the edges. Making a fist, Dean knocked against the top, cocking his head at how solid.

Wondering just how small his hand was in comparison, Dean spread his hand out on top of the nail, rueing the way it didn’t reach to the edges no matter how much he stretched.

October 1st excerpt:

Stalking over to Dean’s boot, Sam pounded his fist on the thick leather and called up “Dean! Down here!”

In seconds, Dean was kneeling down again, the sight of him dropping down so fast and from so close nearly making Sam’s head spin. He jabbed a finger at the smudged mark. “Bowman found something that looks right, can you see it?”

Dean squinted, and after a long moment put a hand down on the ground near them, glancing around himself to see if anyone else was nearby, then going flat on his stomach. He peered closely at the ground before shaking his head. “Maybe… a smudge or something.”
