Bonus BAAU Lounge sketch: Sherlock after hearing how everyone else’s first meetings went.
This is my entry for the context @brothersapart is running.
Here we have the AU Lounge, where the characters from six AUs are currently hanging out together: Brothers Found, Brothers Adopted, Brothers Asunder, Brothers Lost, Brothers Consulted, and the Giant Jacob Story (technically not a BAAU, but who could resist the huge dork?).
On Giant Jacob’s shoulder is “his” Sam, and their Dean is the one leaning against the wall. Brothers Lost Jacob is chatting with his Giant self, while Brothers Asunder Jacob is with the Deans from Brothers Adopted and Brothers Found, “his” Bowman flying around him. Brothers Adopted Sam and Jacob are on their Dean’s shoulders, and Brothers Found Sam is on his Dean’s head, feeling tall. Brothers Found Bowman is flying near Giant Jacob’s head. His own Jacob is extra little at the moment, and he’s not sure which extreme is weirder.
Meanwhile, Sherlock is perched thoughtfully on the one couch, and John has found tea and biscuits, which he is sharing with Oscar (from Brothers Adopted) and the littlest Jacob (from Brothers Found). Brothers Lost Sam and Dean are hiding under John’s table. The Brothers Consulted are around somewhere, though not visible, as is Spritely Sam from Brothers Asunder (he’s probably trying to find some plants – the Bowmans keep complaining about all the corners).
January 12th excerpt:
John stiffened when Dean started climbing on him. That was a new one, and he couldn’t help but stare for a moment while Dean ran across his thigh, seemingly intent on getting up on his own.
January 5th excerpt:
“Dean! ” Sherlock called, cutting off John’s comment as he took long strides toward the kitchen. It was the most likely place they’d find the tiny man. Sherlock had no doubt the Winchesters’ food supply had been greatly depleted that night and would need to be refilled.
Biting back a cringe at the volume of Sherlock’s voice, John heaved a weary sigh as he followed his flatmate.
The silence in the kitchen shattered, Dean burst out from behind the glassware on the countertop, looking more frazzled than normal. His duffel was discernibly thicker than before, and a biscuit hung out of his other arm. Clearly, he had been busy in the time since they’d seen him last.
“What?! ” Dean hissed. “And, what the hell?! How do you possibly always know where I am? It’s ruining my mystique!”
January 4th excerpt:
As much as John wished they could do this without risking so much, risking Dean, he admired the kid’s bravery and willingness to put himself on the line to protect others.
With a grunt, John pushed himself to his feet. “Right then,” he murmured. “On to battle.”
January 3rd excerpt:
John rubbed his neck sheepishly and averted his gaze for a moment, feeling larger and more cumbersome than ever. Being called a giant and described as rumbling really put their actions into perspective. Something as simple as moving to the next room was enough to tip Dean off.

After coming to terms with the existence of witches and magic, and fuming over the attack on John, Sherlock would research his brains out trying to find a way to fix his flatmate.
In the meantime, their relationship would remain the same. Sherlock would see no reason to treat John any differently just because he changed sizes, though his protective side will certainly show. John will be safe, and the most he’ll have to worry about is how portable he is now. Sherlock can and would easily pluck up his tiny doctor and carry him along wherever he’s going. Poor John might have to fight for a bit of independence, but that’s about it.
And John will definitely find some creative way to defend himself, just in case he and Sherlock are separated.
January 2nd excerpt:
John’s anger melted as Dean’s voice rang out from near Sherlock’s feet.
“Dean…” he breathed as he looked down at the tiny man, awkwardly shuffling to sit at the end of Sherlock’s bed. It still made his heart race to see either of the brothers on the floor. Dean had managed to catch their attention quickly this time, but John always feared the idea of him or Sam being unable to make themselves known to their larger flatmates.
December 31st excerpt:
The humans weren’t kept waiting long. At the back of the shelf, beyond where any of the books would reach unless they were shoved back all the way, Dean’s little shadow slipped from the corner. The crack he came from was expertly concealed to be hidden from view if one of the books in front was removed.
With the books gone, Dean had never felt so exposed leaving his own front door.
The tension in the air was so thick in the main room of the flat that even Dean picked up on it. He stepped up to the edge of the fabric John had gathered, his eyebrows going up as he saw it was all the same color. It didn’t take him long to piece together the fact that John had shredded a shirt for them to use, brushing a hand over a freshly-frayed edge.
