This is for @brothersapart 2018 contest, and is set in the story where Dean got cursed alone. He meets some… interesting people in the motel one night. Things go downhill very fast.
Dean grumbled to himself, looking around at the mostly bare dresser top. There was nothing here except for a clock and some pamphlets. He rubbed at his neck, willing that stupid knack of his to work right. It had never really steered him wrong – items that seemed useless at the time would always have a use shortly after they were found – but there was nothing here. No leftover food, no small items he could reuse in ways they weren’t originally designed for, nothing that he could take back home.

John stood and approached the desk again, reaching his free hand in the brothers’ direction.
Dean didn’t have time to think through his actions; he just reacted.
The second John’s hand reached towards the two children, Dean tossed himself over Sam, shielding his little brother with his own body. All of a few ounces and three and a half inches large, Dean wasn’t the best protection, but it was all he had to offer his little brother and he’d be dammed if he just let anyone pick up the kid without trying to stop them.
April 14th except:
“We’ll get out of this, Sammy,” Dean promised. He spared a glance for the crack in the pocket where John’s hand entered, the long arm stretching out of sight as the man walked along. “Whatever it takes, you will not end up in another cage.”
April 13th excerpt:
Dean grit his teeth, any hopes of escape foiled by the cave they were in.
Not a cave. A pocket.
Are you going to make more “brothers saved” fics? With the one where dean was cursed?
You bet!
Brothers Saved is currently just a side project, but we have big plans for it in the future, where it’ll be upgraded to a full AU like Brothers Together ended up. Tiny Dean has a lot of little brother to look after, and he’s not exactly in a position to break up any fights between Sam and John, considering just how well those two get along. He’s going to have his hands full around the clock, that’s for sure.

March 30th excerpt:
Taking his time, Dean made his way up through the walls until he found one of the overhead vents that lead to the room in question. Leaning over it, he cautiously put each hand on the slots, pushing it far enough open that he could see out, but hopefully no one could see in.
There was some keys tossed on the nightstand, and a shadow that passed by the vent, its owner out of sight. Dean’s eyes tracked the hulking shadow, enough to eclipse him and everyone he knew at the motel without a problem.

March 18th excerpt:
The giant covers to the side rustled as he stretched, eyes blearily opening, then shutting tight at the brilliance that filled the room. “Dean?” Sam mumbled, burying his head into a pillow. “Whatcha…” He yawned halfway through. “Doin?’ ”
Even waking Sam up couldn’t bring Dean down from cloud nine with his recent triumph. “I,” he started off, shamelessly bragging, “have figured out how we can spar without worrying about my height.”

I’m gonna say… between tiny Weechesters and a much younger John Watson from normal, combined with Stan in his teens (he’s a year older than Dean)…
