They’ll pull it out. It is both lucky and unlucky that the hook is very sturdy; it won’t bend when it’s taken out of his finger but it’s sure gonna hurt a lot and probably take a chunk out of him.
Sam’s definitely got a back up weapon if anyone ever separates him from his knife.
Sam might have had a bit of an adjustment period with technology, but both brothers agree he’s a natural. He’s already reprogrammed Dean’s computer and he now has a cell phone of his own. Not that it’ll fit in his back pocket, but that’s not what matters.
He should really warn Dean when he changes things on that computer…
If I understand this right, no, the curse has never been removed. Sam’s been small the entire time ever since that one fateful day. Whether it gets removed or not will most likely be the culmination of the series and the focus of their struggle against Celeste.
While he’s too young to hunt, he’d stay at the room on his own if they knew it was safe. It isn’t long before they decide that’s not the best plan, and he starts to stick with Dean on hunts. The two brothers work together as an effortless team even with the size discrepancy.
Even after John vanishes into thin air and leaves them to fend for themselves, the world isn’t so bad as long as they stick together. After all, Dean needs someone to haul his ass out of trouble.
While growing up, Sam did attempt to adopt a mouse pup. He kept her hidden in his room and snuck her food for a few weeks. Once Mallory found out, she had Sam take her back to her mother. Ever since then she’d come to visit him and occasionally bring him trinkets or food that she didn’t need. She wanted to take care of her Sammy as much as he wanted to take care of her.
That was Krissy. Sadly for her and the Watch family, it will be some time before the boys would even be able to consider returning to the motel they were attacked in. There’s too much of a chance that the witch is lurking in the area, though her trail has dried up, and so John will keep both of his children far, far away. He can’t risk losing both of them.

What if instead of Walt and Mallory rescuing Sam when he got cursed, Dean and John were able to find him before the witch took off?

A month has passed since Sam was cursed, and there’s no cure in sight. He and Dean are left on their own during one of John’s hunts to go to school and do their best to get by. After all this time, Sam’s no more used to being small than he was before, and when Dean catches an unexpected visitor he gets the chance to learn all about his new size.

If Sam gets his size back for a bit or gets to see Dean eye to eye, he will not let big brother ever forget who’s the tallest between them. Of course, if he ends up back at his normal size, he’ll probably get buttoned up in a pocket if he keeps poking the bear.
This is outside my realm of expertise. Past an inch in height, and I have a very hard time visualizing it. And, if he got small enough, even he’d have difficulty seeing things. The lines of reality would begin to blur, and he’d have to fight off madness that creeps in from losing everything, your entire world.
