I’ve watched streams, but I don’t think I could actually run one myself. I have a pretty bad anxiety about talking online or using webcams (my new computer doesn’t even have one), but I think we can manage something similar.

Would people like to do a chatroom for that weekend? We could all talk, chat, share stories and ideas and whatever else. Or does anyone else have ideas?

@neonthewrite–

This is quite a concept! Poor Jacob would have such a rough time at first. It’s bad enough waking up so tiny, but to be immediately captured and treated so badly makes it worse. Last he knew, he was a person just like them, why don’t they see that?

And then he has the weird luck of being found by Sherlock, one of the most intense humans he could have ended up with. Poor kid would have a hard time explaining anything, let alone how he’s small or why. He just wants to be safe from cages. A nice setup in the kitchen would suit him well enough, considering everything would be weird for him. Everything is newly big; he wouldn’t even know how to climb down the counter at that point. The fellas would have to help him get around.

The amusing part is that with curse victims, their knacks don’t manifest right away. There’s no way Jacob would be able to overpower the Winchesters if they decided to stage a “rescue”.

@borrowedtimeandspace–

These poor boys! Sherlock and John will be
sure to keep Jacob safe once he’s in their flat, even if Sherlock will have a
tendency to poke at him a little. Luckily John keeps it from going too far on
accident.

John will be so fret for the little
guy, making sure he’s not injured after all that trouble, and ensuring he feels
safe with them. He’ll promise that they’ll only watch out for them until they
can figure out a way to get him back to normal and send him off toward home.

I can definitely see a little alcove for
Jacob in the kitchen, up against the wall between two containers or boxes, with
enough fabric for him to sleep comfortably on and small amounts of food within
his reach in case he needs it and Sherlock and John aren’t within earshot.
Though, to be honest, they won’t leave him all by himself very often, worried
about him falling into the wrong hands and becoming a pet again.

It’ll take a lot of ninja skill for Sam and
Dean to try and sneak Jacob out of there unnoticed, if that is their plan.

@nightmares06

The brothers are likely to wait until it’s dark and quiet. They need to check out what’s going on with this kid and make sure he’s okay. Jacob might find himself getting dragged into the walls, and if he’s only recently cursed, he won’t have strength to match them.

Of course, there’s a huge chance that John or Sherlock find someone trying to abduct their tiny patient, and there’s going to be a lot of questions and a huge possibility of grabs and/or trapping if Sherlock’s the one to find them. John can’t risk Jacob getting more injured in a tug-of-war with the ninja brothers living in the walls. And Dean can’t risk Jacob being treated like a pet by the tols, so they’ll get themselves into a pickle of misunderstanding.

AS USUAL.

Ask the authors weekend is over for now, but will return! Until then, continue to send in your asks! We love to hear your thoughts!

@neonthewrite

Giant!Jacob would help with this but he’d be careful about it. Sherlock would probably get a lot of pokes in the side in the hopes that he’s ticklish.

@borrowedtimeandspace

Sherlock would definitely kick up a fuss about leaving the lounge. No matter how much time he spends in there, there’s always something he can still learn. He’d have absolutely no evens if they resorted to having Jacob shove him out, however carefully. Trying and failing to dodge, shove, squirm out of their way until he just throws in the towel and leaves, dragging John behind him.

They’ll be back.

@nightmares06

I’m sure Bobby will swing by from time to time to check up on allll his boys and give Sherlock and John a close look to make sure they’re behaving themselves. Rumsfeld won’t like having his Sam gone, so he’ll have to visit them and get to know these new tols. They need Rumsfeld approval to go close to his Weechesters!

@borrowedtimeandspace

I love the idea of Bobby and Rumsfeld meeting John and Sherlock, sizing up the people taking care of their boys. John would be respectful enough, honored to meet someone who knew Sam and Dean so well before the curse, and he’ll do his best to keep Sherlock out of trouble with Bobby.

One way or another, Sherlock will claim Rumsfeld. He’s a lowkey dog lover, and he and Rumsfeld are on the same page when it comes to protecting their smols.

@nightmares06

It would be like a vacation! The entire lounge heading outside after one of the stories ends, waiting for the poll to decide who’s up next.

The Deans might actually need some help from Jacob with the camping stuff. They’re pretty good at tracking in the forest, pretty terrible with survival. I mean, Dean’s idea of ‘rations’ was a pack of peanut M&Ms. He’ll need some pointers. Smol Dean will tease, but he’s no better off. He can just survive off a few M&Ms instead of eating through a bag in one sitting.

The smols will need to be supervised if they go swimming at all. The tols might not realize it, but the majority of them have no experience swimming. Smol Dean, since he was older when he was cursed, would be fine. Smol Jacob, too. But Oscar and Sam will be giving the water wary looks, and extra smol Jake better restrain himself to a tiny leetle pool of water for swimming in or he might get swept away.

@neonthewrite

They would need to bring Oscar a rubber ducky or something to float on. Just in case the swimming and splashing gets too overwhelming when he’s not close to the edge! He’d be glad to play around in the smaller pool for mini Jacob, really. They could splash around without worrying about sinking.

Bowman on a beach would be pretty entertaining, too. There aren’t many large bodies of water in Wellwood, and Bowman doesn’t visit them often. The big waves on a beach would probably get him so annoyed and he’d be trying to pick a fight with the entire ocean. The tols would have to watch him and make sure he didn’t get swept away.

Giant Jacob would probably be the splashing champion. Anyone trying to cause mischief throwing water around can have a handful of water dumped on their heads.

@borrowedtimeandspace

John and Sherlock turning into red lobsters is too accurate! My poor Brits live in a land of rain and like 2 days of sun, they’d better pack a truckload of sunscreen to survive their trip to the beach.

Come to think of it, they could. Giant Jacob could help carry it.

@neonthewrite

You’re not wrong, anon. Tiny teddy Jacob would see something crazy. The tall, intense detective just whisked away far into the air… there he goes. Maybe a yell from Sherlock somewhere in the distance would reach his ears.

He’d try to bend his mind enough to focus but giant Jacob is about 980 times bigger than extra bitty Jacob. That’s a lot to take in!

How did everyone enjoy the weekend? Is this something you’ll want to do again? Should we run a special like this quarterly/semi-anually/anually? Send us your thoughts!

Ask the authors weekend concludes!

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did this weekend! It definitely went a different way than we expected, and a bunch of cute ideas are floating around out there!

Feel free to send in anything you think of with the AU lounge, and regular asks are open again.

Throughout the week, we’ll be working through the rest of the asks received at the end of Sunday, since we ran out of time to finish them off. If only it could be a three-day weekend (or four-, or five-day weekend)

That said, how did everyone enjoy the weekend? Is this something you’ll want to do again? Should we run a special like this quarterly/semi-anually/anually? Send us your thoughts!

@nightmares06

Aww, what a cute group of Weechesters! Tiny Dean can find a tiny Sam of his own, and big Dean can be thrilled to see at least one Sam got out of the way of the curse. He’ll be so proud of his tiny counterpart. Got their Sammers out of the way so he can grow up normal (or as normal as a Winchester can).

This pair of Deans would get along much smoother than their older counterparts, that’s for sure. Much less pestering each other, more time spent making sure their kiddo Sam’s don’t get into trouble while exploring the lounge and finding new people to talk to.

Ask the author weekend is wrapping up, but we always welcome your questions! Feel free to send some more in, and we’ll get to them throughout the week.

@neonthewrite

Oh, I think the AU Lounge is definitely a Thing. We love it.

Oscar would be so tickled by the idea of giving someone else a piggyback ride! Usually everyone’s too big for him. Jacob could hang on and actually look the mini giants in the eyes at last. Much better than a certain sprite hoisting him up in surprise.

Mini Jake with kid!Oscar would be cute too. Wee Sam would be fascinated by this new friend Oscar found.

@nightmares06

Aww, teeny kiddo Sam’s gotta make sure Oscar takes good care of their teddy Jake. So smol.

@neonthebright

He’d definitely have to keep himself wary at all times. I think if we’re imagining all these different characters in one place, we can at least assume him talking to someone like John or Dean wouldn’t break the eardrums of the other little guys around.

Extra tiny Jacob probably wouldn’t even be able to see his giant counterpart properly. He’s literally too big to comprehend at that point. Imagine the others trying to convince giant Jacob and mini Jacob that the other even exists. That’d be such a trick.

Really, if someone wanted to set up boundaries for Jacob, though, he’d probably watch in amusement as they did. Imagine tol Dean trying to protect all the other little guys by drawing a line on the floor or something. Do not cross, Jake. Not allowed. And Jacob just says “Can you use a thicker marker, I can’t see the line.”

@nightmares06

And while Dean is giving Jacob the bitchiest look, smol Sam will decide it’s just easier to tote around extra smol Jacob, sometimes stuffing him in his satchel, occasionally just carrying him around like a teddy, that way he doesn’t get left out of any of the fun with all these giants.

Have a question for us? Ask away! And don’t feel like it has to be just about the stories! We’re open to talk about anything!
