I’m actually working on some tonight, so if you want to send another my way, I’ll have a quicker turnaround time for the next few days because I have some rare time on my hands and I’m funneling it into writing!
I just wanted to make an actual announcement post to point out that prompts are open on this blog. I always love new ideas and I figured, why not let my followers know I’m accepting theirs?
Keep in mind that I can’t do them immediately and they will likely be done as inspiration strikes for them. They could be anywhere from a 500 word drabble or a multi-part short story!
What I will write:
Shorts that have to do with my existing stories (including noncanon and AU)
New premise ideas that you may decide to toss my way
Writing challenges
Fluff. Angst. Either is fine by me.
GT, for those of you who love some fun size shenanigans
What I will not write:
NSFW subject matter (porn, excessive gore)
Things pushed at me from insistent askers; I have been harassed to complete a story before and the result was me chopping the story off before it was really done. If you pester me your prompt is going to get deleted no matter how promising it was.
What I will write but is guaranteed to take a long time:
Things with characters that are not mine. Fanfiction is a medium that I have a lot of difficulty with personally, and while I certainly enjoy some here and there, I always do better (and write faster) with my own characters.
So, I don’t know how much I’ve kept update on here, but things have been pretty tough this summer! Between unexpected expenses, a dying car and the loss of an aunt and an uncle (completely separate sides of the family, one to cancer one to a tumor), I’ve been trudging through.
I won’t be posting this Sunday or the following Wednesday and I’ll be taking a bit of a breather for the week, and tumblr will only have the usual queue posts going, nothing new. No asks or excerpts. No story updates.
Don’t worry, the askbox is open and I’ll still respond to messages and comments! I just won’t be able to take any time for larger posting projects. Things are looking up a little this last week. If possible, I’m still doing commissions and could definitely use a boost!
I know it’s nooot just a sketch, but @nightmares06 and @neonthebright have been nothing but wonderful to work with the last 2-ish years, and I wanted to thank them, even if it was in a small way like this. I can’t thank either of you enough for the business, help and confidence you’ve given me. ♥✨♥✨
I’m sure Gabriel would support this endeavor! Oscar might not be so eager to take on Sam, him and his four-inch height towering over the little guy, but he’s definitely the Knight of Knights Inn!
He is not actively social, but he is action-oriented. If something’s about to happen, he’s going to be there whether he wants to or not. He has a strong sense of duty (including to his more gigantic family members he seems to pick up), and will take charge if it is needed.
Not adventurous at all, but gets dragged into adventures anyway.
Nixie/Ilyana– Impossible to determine
Neither sprite is human, and their personalities, though clashing, each lack something that humans have in them. Nixie is an empath but lacks any decisive abilities. Her life is following orders, whether it be through a summons or through a binding spell. This often makes her more of an automaton than any human would be. Ilyana, on the other hand, lacks empathy and understanding for anyone who isn’t a sprite. She and the other fire sprites are sociopathic, but only to non-sprites.
Moira Wainscot– INFJ
Warm and understanding, her curiosity and desire to grow coincides well with her older adopted brothers. They enjoy teaching her what they can as much as she wants to learn it.
Sometimes, her determination is stronger than their stubbornness.
( @neonthewrite is I and F, but landed in the middle between S/N and J/P )
Jacob Andris– INFP
Jacob is friendly, but he doesn’t necessarily seek out new people spontaneously. He’s very go-with-the-flow, and he’s far for perceptive than people might first think from looking at him. He’s loyal and makes an effort to be calm and patient with people. He embodies chill.
Bowman Leafwing– ES(T/F)P
Bowman’s harder to pin down as far as MBTI types go. He’s brash and loud and quite willing to jump into an argument, with a lot of focus on the here and now, the concrete facts that he has available to him. Even so, he’s flexible and able to take in new information well, even if he grumbles about it. He’s a good problem solver, and tenacious as all get out.
Oscar the OC– INFJ
Despite having such a similar type to Jacob, Oscar has some key differences. He’s much more dependent on some form of organization to keep himself grounded, and he’s afraid of new people in most cases. Even so, he idealizes the thought of being calm, even if he’s very much not. Keeping structure in his life is paramount to his emotional well-being.
He is a natural and inspirational leader, and makes friends easily, particularly with people he works with. He reads people well, sees their inner potential, and does what he can to bring that potential to fruition. Full of warmth and empathy, he sees emotional needs in others and often is the one to help them through it and learn to grow from it.
