Name: Briella (Bree) Watch

Species: Borrowers/Littles

Eye Color: Blue

Hair Color: Blonde

Gender: Female

Known Abilities: Quiet when among her own people, she’s imprinted on humans more than others are comfortable with. She still retains some of her climbing skills, but they’ve waned since she lived free.

Background: Bree was a carefree spirit, wanting to live up to her father’s skills at slipping in and out of motel rooms. Because of this, she was caught by a human family and given to their daughter, Beth, as a pet. Walt was forced to watch his baby girl be torn from his life with no way of stopping it.

Bree was even taken from Beth when her family was overcome with greed, agreeing to sell the tiny girl off to Mina Chandler with the others they’ve caught.

December 5th excerpt:

Dazed and bruised, Sam was operating wholly on instinct as he heard someone entering the flat. “You son of a bitch,” he slurred, weakly trying to push his arm from where it was braced to pin him down.

Instincts guided his other hand, and Sam’s fingers wrapped around a familiar hilt. One he’d always kept at his side, but never wielded against another person.

In a flash, Sam’s silver knife was at the man’s throat, trying to force a stalemate.

Almost in time with his hook falling, Sam stiffened. An icy cold shudder ran up his neck even as the warning tingle started to burn, and the sound of the front door being tampered with almost screamed at him. Never had Mrs. Hudson incited such a strong reaction in his knack, and even Sherlock was dulled down compared to it.

Sam whirled in place. “We’ve gotta go,” he said hurriedly, trying to think of any entrances Dean kept close to the end table. “We’ve–”

Bowman is a wood sprite living in the Wellwood forest. Life for the wood sprites is simple and routine, until Bowman meets a trio of unprecedented outsiders. The newcomers appear to be creatures right out of the old folktales, but no one could have imagined that a human being would tower over even the largest wood sprite.

Oh, I have and I just love it! Especially when things get swapped around, and I’m always a fan of Boone. And her other book, the Fairy Rebel was one of the books I read again and again as a kid, over and over. Those formed a lot of my first impressions with g/t, along with The Borrowers. It was so hard to find good g/t when I was a kid! Always hoping for that one episode of a story where someone gets shrunk, (watching the horrifying movie The Incredible Shrinking Man that scarred me for so long), Honey I shrunk the kids…
