I do write with various partners, and it’s always a fun experience. I’m not against writing with people in the future, but I do prefer to see examples of their writing before starting. For @neonthewrite, I saw her contest entry and went on to read her original story about Bowman Leafwing. I was the one to put the idea out there to write a story together in the first place.

For the moment, I’m closed to any new partners. I have four stories in progress, and due to the AU’s we’ve been writing, @neonthewrite has first dibs on writing with me. It’s addicting to put our characters together, and we’re so happy we got such positive feedback on them. On top of those four rp’s, ever since starting them, my work has grown more stressful, so I’ve got less free time to myself to write and I tend to focus my efforts on one story at a time, which means other partners don’t get as many replies. I’m very single minded, and I apologize for that.

Chances are, if someone asks me to rp, it’ll be a no.

January 22nd excerpt:

They didn’t own much between the two of them, aside from a dollhouse desk and bed for Sam and a few scrounged furnishings and a nest of fabric at Dean’s, but they did have clothes and a few personal effects.

Dean’s amulet, hanging around his neck ever since being downsized. Their knives, two of a kind. Silver and sharp, they’d been used more than once against any rats that tried to infest the motel.

And of course, Sam had managed to find himself a journal.

So the option to post BA along with one of the AU’s is in the lead for the most popular choice, but I’m not sure if I’ll end up going with that. It would actually be easier to have one story posting

at a time, that way it’s easier to organize uploads and notes. Doing two at once is actually more draining than I thought it would be. I’ll have to think on it more, but at the very least, three updates a week will be guaranteed.

Drop an ask if you have any thoughts!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I feel the same about writing. It cheers me up on long days at work and before I started writing at all, I would spend most of my days depressed. Now I’m cheerful most of the time and just deal with anxiety that flares up from time to time.

Don’t be afraid to enter! All skill levels are welcome, and I won’t be biased towards how good your layout is, that’s for sure. This is about having fun and writing for the series the way you see it, or what you envision for it.

Everyone makes mistakes, you should have seen me trying to edit the stories for the books. My own stuff makes me cringe some days, and I really hope all that work was worth it. I’d love to see what you come up with!

Oh, and @neonthewrite was scared to write Sam and Dean during the contest last year. Even after all this time, she’s still scared to write the brothers. So you’re never alone in being nervous.

(I’ve been stuck on just mobile before, I know just how you feel)

(Bonus) January 21st excerpt:

“It’s all good genetics,” Jacob quipped in a low mumble, trying to take his mind off the fact that he probably really did seem like Godzilla to them. Godzilla with a hoodie and a backpack. He almost smirked at the thought, but his own nerves were kicking in.
