Very close indeed! With any luck it’ll appear after we start adding stories to the poll after the current stories all post– We’re not adding anything new until Brothering Bowman, The Study of the Four and Return to Oz all get to post. (Because the horror story is huge and these stories need their chance to post before it takes over for a while).

We won’t be having any more sneak peeks for the horror story at this time, but starting Sunday you’ll see story excerpts for it!
The answer floats around from time to time, but it’s easy to miss. It’s in Brothers Found, and it’s the third story in. There’s only one story between it and us– Can’t have it without a Bowman along for the ride, so they’ve gotta get themselves in gear and get to the Wellwood!
(I don’t think Bowman appreciates this right now, sending three hunters to his forest)
While waiting for it to appear in the poll, we’ll have excerpts from the horror story going up!

Believe it or not, that was all actual, honest to god feedback we’ve received from our stories! To be exact, the tacky lamp feedback was from the upcoming horror story in Brothers Found. Mixed up in all that angsty horror, even extra-smol Jacob’s gotta kick back and relax (or try to) from time to time.
Jacob gasped involuntarily when the platform dropped out from under them, lowering him and Sam to the small table between the vast motel beds at last. He got shakily to his feet, finally releasing Sam’s sleeve so he could make his way to the edge of the hand again. He was able to hop down from the no-longer-insignificant height, landing in a safe crouch on the bunched up fabric of the shirt. It was a softer landing than in the pocket full of change, that was for damn sure.
He settled himself down on the shirt before looking over the other things on the nightstand with them. The TV remote was several times Jacob’s length and bulky. It looked like it had seen a lot of use because many of the buttons had their symbols partially scratched off. The alarm clock was a hulking black plastic thing with red, Jacob-sized numbers glowing on the front. He hoped it wasn’t set, because Jacob knew for a fact he’d never be able to depress the gigantic snooze button atop the device. The lamp was, on principle, tacky as sin with a lampshade fifteen years too old to be modern and about the same too young to look retro. The blocky base almost looked like a flight of stairs designed by Picasso. Jacob smirked, knowing Bowman probably hated the stupid lamp for having so many of those right angles that offended his sight so much. And of course, a water tower’s worth of beer sat waiting in Dean’s red cup next to the lamp.
Bowman found a comfy place to sit on the shirt with them, sipping on his beer. He had learned a few things since his first time drinking with the humans. If he drank too quickly like he wanted, he ran out of beer, got drunk, and had his supply cut off for being ornery, especially with Dean in charge of the drinks. Jacob knew his restraint wouldn’t last, but it was kind of amusing to see the sprite at least trying to pace himself.
“Alright, well, let’s see what’s on,” Jacob announced with a grin as he waited for Sam to join them.

Oh gosh. Jacob is not one to feel self-conscious very often, but he’d definitely feel silly trying something like that! Even so, he is committed to the cause and would want to train his skills however he needed to, so he might try it.
Of course, if the tiny Winchesters were off to the side swearing it would work while also trying not to laugh … well, he’d wonder if it was a valid technique at all! They’d get poked for sure.
For the first part of the question, the Jacob that appears in the extra-smol Jake story is not actually a cursed child. He is the Jacob from Brothers Found, and so has no knack.
For the second part, smol is the evolution of small that has occured over the internet, and you can find an in-depth explanation of the word here! I was fascinated when I found that post.
It has indeed! In fact, the second part of BF was a part of the poll last week, it just had the bad luck to not be chosen.
For the main three AUs of Lost, Found and Adopted, the first three stories are written and completed, giving us some leeway while we try and finish up more stories for everyone to read in the future. All three AUs were a part of the last poll, along with a few others 😉
We hope to keep it from getting too confusing, but it’s hard since we don’t want to ignore all the other AUs in order to post all of one! Just let us know if you ever have a question about the many, many storylines going.

Family Ties will be wrapping up 10/23, so it’s time for another vote! And this time, things will get crazy.
