Ooo, good guess.

That’s not what this story will be, but we have mused about what it would be like to have a smol Jacob paired up with the canon brothers. Both of them so towering, Jacob so cheeky. This is a future possibility, but not happening just yet.

There really isn’t enough time in the world.

Think you know the mystery story? Send in a guess!

Sam has a fear of kids in BA and BL both, so he would be wary and staying as far back as he could. If Jacob was unconscious close by, he would try and revive him.

Dean’s really good with kids, even the larger ones, so he’d do his best to coax the kid. They need to get out of there, and the kid is the best one to do it. I have faith Dean will be able to get them to respond to him, and maybe go find Jacob.

June 16th excerpt:

Jacob was stretched out on the bed watching a TV channel showing sci-fi B movies. It was the best offering on the motel’s limited channel listing for the time being, and he let himself doze off once or twice while he watched.

He didn’t get up much. In truth, he was nervous to walk around.

He couldn’t help but think of Walt’s wary demeanor, the distrust in those tiny, hardened blue eyes. He could only imagine what kind of instincts were directing the man’s caution, and didn’t begrudge him that at all. Jacob was big, and he had proven himself dangerous to people like them when he first swept Dean up in a fist, and again when he grabbed Sam.

He’d learned a lot since then, but he’d never forget the fear on their tiny faces. Both brothers thought they might lose each other, all because of Jacob. Walt, as far as he had known, had lost his adopted sons, because of Jacob.

June 15th excerpt:

“I’ll have you know I did decorate some,” Dean shot stubbornly back.

“Devil traps in the hall don’t count!” Sam chirped, countering Dean’s point.

“There is nothing wrong with functional decorations!” Dean argued back.

One would hope that they get coffee if they’re going to be road tripping with Jacob to find their father! (Along with breakfast. Feed them, Jake. They haven’t eaten well in years.)

Sam would try the coffee, wrinkle his nose and dump cream and sugar into it until it almost doesn’t taste like coffee. Dean would scoff at this, drink it black and call it the nectar of the gods, and give Jacob The Look. Don’t you fuckin’ dare put me back in that coffee pot ever again

June 14th excerpt:

“Would you think any less of me if I was that size?”

“No,” Walt’s answer came mulishly. “It just isn’t the same with you boys though. We’ve known you since you were kids. Of course we trust you.”

Dean had to stop fast before he ran Sam over, realizing everyone was waiting for them. Walt sealed up the wall behind them, casting them into darkness.

Sam’s knack will actually only work on humans – and it won’t work on any human that got cursed by Celeste! So he can’t tell if Dean is looking at him in Brothers Lost, which is a good thing because it also means that Dean can’t screw it up by glancing over at him.

If a human shrinks down by another method, he will still be able to tell if they are watching. It is only humans cursed by the method Celeste uses that are an exception to this rule.

Truthfully, I came up with the ability during Taken. So yes, he does have it, but it didn’t start to show up until then. It’ll be more prominent in the other AUs earlier, but you can see it from Taken and on. In fact in Adventures at Bobby’s, Sam discovers that Dean does not set off his danger sense at all. He can tell that Dean is looking, but he can also tell that the gaze on him is safe.

June 13th excerpt:

“I guess I’ll just lie up on the bed for now, give you guys some floorspace if you want it. Okay?” Jacob waited to make his move, knowing that even though things were much more at ease, he couldn’t take it for granted. Even Sam and Dean didn’t like it much when he loomed, so advance warning was always welcome.

Walt took an uncertain step back, unconsciously raising his blade-wielding arm. The instinct was strong in him to vanish behind the nightstand at the thought of the human in the room getting up, but he suppressed it. Sam and Dean hadn’t moved, and he was driven to match them.

“No one’s stopping you,” Walt shot back stubbornly. Somewhere deep inside, his mind wondered what he was thinking, backtalking a giant like that.

June 12th excerpt:

With a whirl in her faded green dress, Mallory padded right past Sam and Dean in her soft-soled shoes. They were left staring at each other, jaws slightly ajar.

After a beat of hesitation, all three of Mallory’s tall boys jumped into action to try and catch her, Dean scrambling to grab the knives from the ground.

“Wait!”
