May 22nd excerpt:

Meanwhile, Sam was solely focused on his target. Jacob’s steps, though they were much closer than normal, didn’t register in his mind past the simple knowledge that Jacob was there.

That, and the way the floor quaked under Sam’s determined strides.

After so long spent with the teenager, neither Sam or Dean felt any fear towards him. They were a team, and he was an important part of it. Regardless of his size, Jacob was one of their extremely few friends, and could always be counted on.

All of this let Sam focus on his goal even as he ran across the center of the towering room. Normally, it would be the most dangerous place for Sam or Dean to travel. There was no cover, no places to hide. That far from the walls, a human could grab them up without a hope. Conversely, if the humans in the room didn’t spot them, they could be crushed underfoot.

May 21st excerpt:

Jacob reached his home and headed upstairs to his room right away. He closed his door behind him and stood in the middle of the floor, finally looking down at his pocket. “How’s things, guys?” he asked, lifting up the pocket flap to check on his passengers.

The open flap revealed the two brothers and their captive, all crammed into a pocket together. Sam remained in his own corner, merely a spectator to the scene.

When the huge voice rumbled out of the wall next to them, Sam glanced up and flashed Jacob a smile. One wouldn’t know

from his cheery disposition

that there was a guy held prisoner not an inch away.

In BA, it actually happened a bit different. Sam’s known about Dean being leery of heights since they were kids. They used to climb trees behind Bobby’s (or rather, Sam would climb trees and Dean would have to chase him up).

It didn’t take Sam long to figure out the higher he went, the longer he got to stay up there.

May 20th excerpt:

Sam leaned over the speaker. “Hey, Bobby, how’s it going?” he called out, raising his voice so he could be sure that it made it over the line.

“ ‘Bout the same as the last time you boys came to visit. Rumsfeld’s been missin’ you, though. I caught him sleeping in the spare bedroom. I’m bettin’ this ain’t a courtesy call though. What kinda trouble you boys in now?

“It’s not like we’re always in trouble!” Dean protested loudly.

They will find the burrow, just like in BA, they just haven’t found it yet. Back in 1993, it was before Rumsfeld was around, so there’s no one to show Sam the way to the home of the littles near Bobby.

I’m sure Arthur and the others would love to welcome in a wee Sam, but I don’t think Dean would like his wee little bro vanishing! *Panics*

May 19th excerpt:

“Don’t you trust me?” Dean asked with a gleam in his eyes. “Lemme see your journal.” He held out a hand, clearly expecting Sam to follow through.

“What?! No,” Sam protested. “The last time you used it, I got red paint in the middle.”

Dean huffed in annoyance. “I’m not gonna mess it up! I just need a page. We can try and write out what we’re saying, and see if they understand.”

We are just as excite for it! Have a snippet to read ^-^

“I’m near the village, yeah. I’m guessing I’ll have to get over there before Bowman freaks out about squirrels or something but … well I probably won’t miss your arrival.”

“You know me,” Dean quipped lightly. “I’m just the life of the party. You know you can’t wait to see me arrive.” Despite his words, he couldn’t help but worry as well, a fact he was trying to keep hidden. Unlike Bowman, Jacob had no wings to use to escape any animals out there. And unlike Sam, he wasn’t used to being small. At least Sam could put his expert climbing skills to use finding hand- and footholds to scramble up a tree if he had to. Dean doubted Jacob would fare any better than Dean himself at that type of venture.

“You get yourself to safety, alright? We need our hunting buddies all in one piece, downsized or not. That’s what’s important here.” He moved on to packing up Sam’s belongings, a small bed and desk Bobby had found for them after discovering the small Winchester was still alive. In fact, it had been Bobby’s gentle prodding that had galvanized Dean into building a Sam-sized panic room under the seat of the Impala, so there was a safe haven for Sam and Bowman if they ever needed it. There was a variety of threats out there for guys their size, and Dean was determined to give his brother every advantage he could provide.

“Yeah, I’ll… I’ll do that,” Jacob answered uncertainly. He glanced over at the stream. There were supposedly stepping stones for the flightless sprites to cross the stream safely, but he couldn’t imagine them being easy. The sprites grew up with wings and judged their entire sense of balance on them. Jacob didn’t have that kind of advantage.

If this is a party, then where’s the beer?

May 18th excerpt:

“Anything’s possible,” Dean argued stubbornly back as they started on their way towards the boxes, aiming at a crack between them to start searching. He glanced behind at Jacob and made a shooing motion. “Who’d expect people like us to be hanging out with a hunter?”

“We’re the ones who helped him become a hunter,” Sam said in exasperation.

Exactly! That’s my point! ”

Jacob watched them walk away for a second more, struck by the fact that he’d just been shoo’d with a hand so small he could barely see it from where he knelt.

Hmm, well Sonny would probably figure Dean out pretty fast and be shocked to find Sammy. They’d both work together to make sure Sam keeps out of trouble and out of the way of the other boys, and Sam would accompany Dean to school just like in BT.

Sonny’s farm in canon happens about a month after Sam’s curse hits, so at this point they’re actually discovering Oscar. Since there’s only one kid to support, money goes further and Dean didn’t have to steal bread for food.
