Flash commission for @neonthebright! He sleep
Thanks for waiting ❤

If the wings dried out, it would be uncomfortable at the very least for the sprite. Painful, if it got bad enough. The wings are very sensitive to the air around them, so if they were dry and more brittle than normal then the poor sprite would be very sore. Of course, not being able to photosynthesize as efficiently would be a side effect, leading to fatigue and other related conditions that would make life harder for them.
As for Bowman’s fussing about his wings, he tends to go above and beyond what’s strictly needed. He might be willowy and lean, but he’s technically an athlete by their standards, so he keeps his wings stretched and fit. He preens regularly to massage the overworked joints, and he takes every opportunity to put them to use.

March 27th excerpt:
“Maybe if you get some coffee you’ll start waking up with the dawn. You might be able to keep up with me then.” He gave Bowman a grin.
Bowman sent Sam a sharp look then, his wings actually bristling at the challenge. “Keep up with you?” he echoed, sounding like he really didn’t believe what he heard. Then again, as someone who prided himself on being the fastest and most skilled flyer in his village, he might actually not believe it. “I’ll race circles around you,” he asserted with pride, though he grinned good-naturedly.
Jacob rolled his eyes. “Not in the mornings you won’t,” he retorted.
March 26th excerpt:
Sam turned his attention to the relaxed sprite too, giving a partial smile at the sleepy demeanor. “So, still not a morning person?” Sam asked as brightly as he could fake, knowing that a happy-go-lucky attitude like that could piss off anyone that wasn’t a morning person. Needling Bowman would be a good distraction.
Bowman turned a tired, exasperated gaze in Sam’s direction. A bright tone like that was just too much. It shouldn’t be possible, this soon after waking, for him to even hear such nonsense. “No,” he answered simply, letting the blunt word carry sass with it rather than crafting more of an answer. It was too early for it.

A chibi commission w/ flats for @nightmares06!
Thanks for dinner lmaoBowman and Sam, who’s rocking some new duds.
Aa, I love them! Thanks! (Hope the pizza was good!)
February 13th excerpt:
Logan tromped to the center of the clearing so he could get a good view of the sky. “I’ll get a fire going,” he determined, glancing back to Dean, standing there with a duffel bag full of weapons and a sprite in a jar, casual as could be. What the hell?

Oh jeez. The size disparity would be incredible there.
Just a simple breath could knock sprites out of the air and rattle their little houses. I don’t think Jacob would even be able to see the little guys unless they sat still and he really squinted. Even then, he’d have trouble hearing them, while the rumbling of his voice alone could physically hurt the poor sprites.
Probably a good thing Jacob didn’t grow to giant size anywhere near Wellwood.
February 7th excerpt:
“Vicious little thing,” the other giant pointed out with a scoff. Bowman opened his eyes to glance at him and quivered again. He couldn’t decide if that giant’s accusing glare or his captor’s complete fascination was more unsettling.
“L-let go, you wingless pile of snakeskin!” he managed to force out, putting his considerable reserves of defiance into his voice.
February 6th excerpt:
The pain that sliced through Dean’s hand was unexpected. “Sonova–!”
Instead of letting the sprite go like he might have done before, Dean cut off his cuss and brought up his free hand, releasing the sprite into the new hand and this time expertly winding his fingers around the tiny body to keep him from attacking again. Dean’s thumb came up beneath the little chin, preventing any bites.
“Chill, nibbler,” he groused. “No one’s hurting you.”
