Will Sam ever share some of his journal entries with Dean? I know that journaling is super private, but I’m sure Dean would be curious to know what’s in there since he can’t even see the words himself…

There’s actually a few reasons he hasn’t shared the journal just yet in the actual Brothers Apart storyline! (In Brothers Lost and Brothers Consulted, Dean has, on more than one occasion, stolen Sam’s journal with varying results).

In the beginning, Sam didn’t know if Dean was the brother he remembered. It was well over a decade since they’d seen each other last, so he took it slow. The journal was one of the things he kept private, and Dean respected that.

Later on, as their bond came back, and they grew to be a team, Sam discovered that without something to magnify his journal, Dean can’t read it. The tiny handwriting in it is too small for Dean to read, and it would feel plain awkward for Dean to sit there with a magnifying glass the entire time they’re looking through it.

If Sam ever gets a chance with Dean at his scale, he’d love to share it with his big brother…

So, I assume Gabriel (as the trickster) has the same timeline awareness as Celeste and, in that case, he’s equally likely to show up in the other timelines with knowledge of what might go down?

For these AUs (this isn’t at all an ability in canon Supernatural), all archangels share the same awareness of other timelines, some stronger than others.

Gabriel is one of the ones that has a sharp awareness of other timelines, because he likes to dabble in alternate realities on the side (The Lounge in BA, Changing Channels and Mystery Spot on Supernatural).

He will show up in other, future stories. He better just watch out if anyone recognizes the bartender in the Lounge!

Not an ask, but a funny thought of mine. As I was rereading Jacob in Wonderland, I had the sudden image of Jacob, in a later story, meeting the trickster again and the trickster making the song “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane play in the background just to irk him. 😂 I’m pretty sure that the trickster would definitely stick with the Alice in Wonderland theme, if only to annoy.

The trickster lives to annoy, especially these guys.

If Jacob runs into the trickster again in the future, he’s not going to be happy.

I was wondering, how do you think that Dean’s big brother instincts change from the show to each of his interactions with the different littles or when he’s a little himself? (Maybe not change so much as change how their expressed…)

It all depends on the little in question!

As far is Sam is concerned, he is ultra protective, but the first thing Sam will do is scold him for not giving him space or independence. Dean tends to take stuff like that to heart, so he’ll lay off (a little), and Sam won’t feel so stifled.

Of course, if you don’t tell Dean right off, he tends to get in habits, and might end up just casually picking you up and taking you wherever he is, as Jacob can well attest to in certain future AUs. Sam would be the first to tell him he shouldn’t let Dean get set in his ways!

As a little himself, he’s an incredibly fussy guy. He’ll lecture Sam for days if he gets himself picked on at school, and when Sam’s a smol Dean does his best to keep him away from danger. It’s a lot harder for the little guy, but he tries!

In Brothers Apart (where all my questions seem to come from), I was wondering how Sam might feel about and react to rain since he hasn’t really been in it since he was cursed?

Lol! He’s probably been in it a few times in Dean’s pocket at the very least, in between cases!

If he’s in a pocket, he’d be very grumpy, because a soggy pocket is a lost more confining and claustrophobic. Dean probably had to get a waterlogged Sam to the car/motel room before it got too bad. Poor kid looks like a drowned rat.

If he’s out in the open, which happens more rarely, he’d be fascinated at the size of the droplets, but definitely prefers watching them from the safety of an overhang, like the place he used to watch the parking lot from at Trails West. He’s seen a few storms from there, but knows to get back in if the wind starts to pick up.

(BA is first and fave!)

I haven’t posted it on DA or the other sites yet, because I’m an airhead and forgot, but there IS a short prompt about the Brothers Together pair and an encounter with rain!

An Afternoon Rainstorm

I’ll post it to the other sites when I have more energy. Why is the energy gone.

What would happen if you got Bowman and Nixie together? I know Bowman is already skeptical about her being a sprite from his conversation with Sam in A Lich of Sense…

Nixie would be amused by her volatile, younger cousin. She might not be connected to the sprites that the Earth Spirit created, but she would treat them as she would any other sprite. She would love to see the village, and is especially fond of forests and streams.

I can see her and Rischa getting along great, sharing experiences about their empathy abilities. Rischa would love to get some tips from Nixie about how to handle it, especially if people are feeling a lot of really strong emotions.

Bowman, meanwhile, would be baffled and wary of this new sprite. She definitely doesn’t look like what he’d expect a water sprite to look like. Rischa why are you being so friendly with her. What if she’s dangerous.

So I’ve got this head cannon that every story in your different series are connected to each other by Celeste. I think that she can hop through timelines so that, if it looks like she will lose or if she’s defeated, she can always start over with a new(-ish) plan…I may be totally wrong, but that’s my current theory.

Lol! It’s not far off from what’s really going on…

I don’t have her directly hopping from AU to AU, but she does have an awareness of her other selves in the other universes, part of her abilities as an archangel. She considers them all a part of her, so to offend one is to offend them all. You can see this most in Brothers Asunder right now, where she rips Sam away from his family in as complete a way as possible, throwing him into the distant Wellwood forest as punishment for what other Sam and Deans have done.

( excerpt from Sam of Wellwood )

Also if you kill one Celeste, the others remain untouched.

Quote: Do you know how many times this same story has played out? Sometimes John saves you, sometimes he doesn’t. Sometimes that little thorn, Walt, interferes. Sometimes he doesn’t. But you know my favorite part? The fact that you two little dears just never figure me out. Bumbling around, saving people, hunting things. You can’t see past what’s right in front of your faces. You’re mine. And you always will be.

So, if Dean sews pockets on to his clothing all the time (after all, clothing never conveniently has enough pockets to stash his arsenal), would he start attempting to modify his pockets to make them more comfortable for Sam?

If he thought of it, he might!

Dean overlooks some details like this, and Sam probably wouldn’t make it a point to bring it up past complaints when Dean fills his inside pockets and he ends up spending time with extra salt rounds or some emergency floss (you never know when you might need to stitch yourself up with it, Sammy!). They’re used to roughing it on both sides.

Sam usually prefers a shoulder perch, so that’s at least clear of debris.
