Where do I start? What is ground zero for getting started reading this story? Do you have a link or something for me? I’m just now finding out about this and dying for where to start. please?

I’m excited to hear!

I’d definitely recommend starting with the main storyline, Brothers Apart. It’s where everything started (my writing style evolves with the stories, I started writing these quite a few years ago >o>).

You can find links to all the stories here. We post on three different websites, so it depends on how you like to read. Archive of Our Own does allow downloading the files so they can be seen on e-readers as well, fanfiction tends to be a hot mess, deviantart is the site I started out on.

All the other AUs are self contained (Brothers Lost, Brothers Found, Brothers Consulted, ect…), so you can begin with any of them, but Brothers Apart will have the deepest backstory of them all and tends to lay the groundwork for the rest.

I look forward to hearing what you think!

Brothers Apart

(Story 1 of the Brothers Apart series)

Sam was hit with a witch’s curse when he was 10 and Dean was 14. Unable to find him or his attacker anywhere when the dust settled, John and Dean Winchester were eventually forced to give him up for dead. Unbeknownst to them, Sam was saved from the witch and adopted into a new family, and they’ve trained him to take care of himself as best he can in the world, and protected him from the witch’s gaze all these years. And someone very familiar will be staying at the motel he lives in, all unknowing. This sets off a chain of events that changes Sam’s life forever.

Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Celeste, Walt Watch, Mallory Watch

I’ve been interested in stories about fairies and borrowers and giants as long as I can remember. I didn’t know it was called g/t way back then. As a kid I’d make up stories about being a borrower in the house or having a borrower come visit me, and I wish I would have written them down back then. I was coming up with stories as far back as I can remember, and they’d play in my mind just like a movie on the TV. I’ve always found g/t to be comforting, though I’ve started to consider the more alarming factors in recent years.

Oh man, gotta go way back in my memory.

I’ve always loved stories with borrowers in them / tiny people / slightly terrified of shrinking myself. I’d make up stories to go with most shows I watched, sometimes adding in my own characters, sometimes keeping with the characters on the show itself.

I did write a different g/t story way back when I was in college (lol, way back now I feel old for using that in a sentence), but it didn’t end up panning out. (One of the characters was based on a close friend who betrayed me hence story over)

After college, I had years of working in retail where all my energy for anything creative was drained. I couldn’t even make my lovely fractals that I miss so much now. Then, I got a better job (my current job). Quitting retail and moving on gave me a spike of energy and creativity that just hit me. At the same time, I started to watch Supernatural and fell in love with it. Everything. The story, the brothers, all the monsters and how off the wall they could get with their storytelling style. The actors are lovely people and I’ve met them all in person. It was just natural to combine all of this and give in to my urge to write.

I’ll never regret putting my pen to the paper and bringing this to life.
