Alright! So, for the next couple of story updates I will be posting a very special story. This is an entry for @brothersapart‘s contest! I honestly didn’t think I was going to do it this year, but an idea hit me and I just had to! Hopefully I’ll be able to finish in time. And don’t worry, there will still be youtubers in this. Who do you think I am?
This story takes place in their Brothers Adopted au!
Leaves crunched beneath their feet as the two figures ran
through the forest. The moon was high in the sky and filtered through the
leaves above. Slowly, the two figures came to a stop, huffing as much air as
they could into their lungs. One of the figures, a man with a head of green
hair, looked back the way they came. His heart raced.The other figure took
a place next to him, he was slightly taller than the other with a floofy head
of black hair. His heart raced as well and he pushed his glasses up higher on
his face. It was too dark to see more than a few feet in front of them. But
they both knew it was still coming.

Sneak Peek of Garlic and Cold Spots!
Near a forgettable motel in Breckenridge, Colorado, people are dying. Crushed beneath furniture and falling cars, the stories form a clear circle around the Knights Inn. Now Dean and his two tiny brothers, Sam and Jacob, are on their way to unravel the case and help all the motels’ residents– down to the very smallest.
‘You two are free to leave the bag?’ Did he really just …?
That was the last thing Oscar expected to hear, and so he kept watching curiously from his hiding place under the dresser. He had been scoping out the room for supplies and food, as was his usual. It was some ungodly hour of the night, so he really hadn’t expected someone to check in.
He’d barely made it to the floor in time from the top of the dresser when he heard a car pull up. The lock was turning with a metallic scraping that seemed so much louder in his frantic ears. Human! The dangerous word barked in his head. Oscar barely dragged his safety pin grappling hook under the dresser in time for the lights to switch on.
He had been about to breathe a sigh of relief, but his nerves amped up a few more steps when a loud crash filled the room. Oscar had peeked out to see what it was in time for the human to set down a second bag much more carefully than the first. The first duffel had sounded like it might be full of a bunch of spare parts, while the other looked like it held clothes.
Oscar couldn’t help but think things were completely backwards. The clothes bag could be tossed down without a care, but the other one was just obnoxiously loud.
And then of course came ‘You two are free to leave the bag,’ after moving a shirt away. Oscar frowned at the scene. He felt a sinking in his stomach that turned into plain fear when he saw two people, people his size climbing out of the clothes bag and onto the bed. He ducked back under the dresser, making sure he was in the shadows and out of sight.
His heart was pounding a frantic beat. Oscar’s entrance to the walls was nowhere near the dresser. He’d aimed to just wait until the human crashed into bed, and he could just avoid the room until he left. He could still do that, but now Oscar had the knowledge that two poor souls were captured by that human.
From the sounds of things, they were trained. They’d needed permission to get out of the duffel bag. That they were carried around in a bag like that in the first place put a sick feeling in Oscar’s stomach. What if they’d been jostled around? What if they fell out? Would the human care?
He definitely needed them all to go to sleep so he could get out of here before he joined those poor captives.

Brothers Adopted has begun, and we’re going to let you all in on a secret! Remember this picture?
… That’s not from Brothers Adopted. It never happened in that series.
We just never bothered correcting anyone who thought big Dean and tiny Jake were from that series. It’s from an AU that was never guessed, yet has two stories written for it already! So, if anyone figures it out, we’ll let you in on the secret 😉
A bit of divergent fun with our characters.

One of their best methods of keeping him in place is usually planting themselves right on him, so he’s stuck in place unless he wants to pluck them up. Another way is trying to coax him into staying there with great use of the puppy eyes both Sam and Jacob have, extra potent when they’re so tiny and innocent. Reminding him that they don’t have anyone else who can drive the Impala if he gets himself worse is another way that might help.
Or they can call up Bobby, who can threaten to tie Dean in place if he so much as thinks of moving.
Dean will gripe, bitch, moan and whine his way through the entire week.
Sneak Peek of First Hunt!
The last thing Jacob Andris ever expected was to find himself cursed by a witch to live out his life under half a foot tall. He never expected to find himself becoming part of a family that once would fit in his hand.
And he certainly never expected to find himself adopted by a hunter twenty times his size.
Jacob’s heart rate jumped up for a few seconds at the sound of an unfamiliar voice in the dim lighting. He had to squint a little to find the man’s face as he sluggishly pushed himself up to lean against the backboard of the bed. Jacob shivered; he didn’t remember it being so cold before. He rubbed his eyes before looking at the silvery cup offered to him.
He couldn’t resist taking it and drinking down its contents quickly to soothe his parched throat. With that done, he looked around some more, letting his eyes adjust (as much as they could) to the light. The only source that he could see was the ceiling, where long cracks between the thick beams let light in in dusty golden bars. A part of him wondered why they didn’t just put a lamp in this room.
“Where …” Jacob managed to rasp, before he noticed the pile of huge blankets in one corner. He glanced across at the desk and chair, and the curtain blocking the rest of wherever the hell this was from view. There was a shoulder bag next to the chair and Jacob raised his eyebrows in surprise at the sight of a three-pronged hook sticking out of it. The barbs alone had to be the length of his fingers.
It inevitably drew him back to the man in the room with him. He wore jeans and a plain grey t-shirt, covered by a jacket with numerous pockets. There was something off about him, but Jacob couldn’t quite place it in the lack of light. After a moment, he found his voice, a list of questions all crowding into his mind at once.
“Who are you? Is this a basement? Where’s my mom?”
First Hunt coming 10/25/16
Celeste very rarely gives away her secrets, and often uses the promise of knowledge like that to taunt her victims. Sam still only has vague notions of why he himself was cursed, so it can be assumed she won’t be letting us in on that secret for a good long while.
So far the only knowledge we have of her in Brothers Adopted is her brief appearance in the short story Ice Cream.
More of Jacob’s past will be revealed in First Hunt, so stay tuned!
