Yes, Jacob finds Sam in both AUs. But to say that these two storylines are the same would be saying that Brothers Apart and Brothers Together are the same because Dean found Sam in both.

Brothers Found is placed in 2005 just like Brothers Apart. The storyline of these two will be similar. Sam is out in the rooms trying to find food for his family and he gets caught, only instead of Dean finding him, it’s a complete stranger, an unsuspecting, seventeen year old Jacob Andris.

Brothers Unexpected is placed in 1993, the same week of Sam’s curse. He is ten, and runs away from Walt and Mallory Watch. They can’t get to him before he gets caught by a young Jake, who is only four-going-on-five.

In other words, they are completely different plots and completely different style stories. If they were the same, we wouldn’t write them. Just like we shouldn’t write any more Brothers Together if it was the same as Brothers Apart, right?

Oh, I don’t think you ever have to worry about spamming my tumblr. I love hearing from you. In fact, a big reason I got the tumblr originally was to let people who didn’t have a da (and those who did) get more involved in the storyline. When I run a poll to decide what story comes next, votes can be sent in through the asks on tumblr along with the poll itself on da.

I used to stay away from fan fiction myself, but always found myself finding stories about these brothers, Sam and Dean, when I was reading gt online. The more I read the more I wanted, so in the end, I took the plunge one day to find out what these two characters looked and sounded like, and I never came back. The show is entertaining, and I never get tired of the brothers or anyone else on the cast. So if you ever have a chance, I’ll always recommend it.

(I’m so emotionally invested in these brothers it’s not even funny)

Getting this message on Monday morning had to be the best way to start off my day! You are just as amazing, and you put a smile right on my face.

That means the world to me to hear! I’ve tried hard to make the stories able to stand on their own, especially the Brothers Apart series and all the AUs that are based around it. Plus, the OCs in the stories are so fun to have around, both mine and Neon’s. They really seem to have minds of their own somedays.

Don’t worry about the stories ever running out. Even at three posts a week, we probably have around a year’s worth of stories we’re writing/editing/working on, and always more on the way! And honestly, since we’ve cried over some of the parts, you’ll probably feel a few tears coming up in them.

“Immortality is not as perfect as it may sound, sister.”

The matriarch, the younger of the two between them, sighed deeply. “She was young and misguided. Perhaps, in another life, these mistakes will be avoided.”

Nixie dipped her head, returning her attention to the ceremony. “Yes.”

As the chanting song reached a crescendo of power, Nixie stepped forth. A tear slipped forth from her eye as she remembered young Ilyana, born of Ilia before her just two years past. How had one so young fallen so far, so fast?

“In another life.”

As the ritual ended, Nixie tossed the flower into the volcano. It hit the magma with a hiss.

A spark of power burst forth as it was consumed in flame.

And she of fire will be born anew,

Twisting flames to herald her birth,

Times change and seasons end,

What was once old will be young again.

For Sam, searching for the cure was always something that Dean was determined to do. He went along with it, believing for a while that it was for the best. That way, he wouldn’t have to be afraid of the humans, and he’d be normal again.

After some time, he realizes that he’s actually happy the way he is. He doesn’t want Dean pushing himself to find a cure that doesn’t exist (all they have to go on is Celeste’s words about it, which promise the curse is unbreakable), so Sam tells him to stop.

If you want to see the argument between them, check out the part found in Adventures at Bobby’s.

But that’s okay. I’ve got you, after all, and that’s all that matters.

Ilyana continued to grind in her point with relentless determination. “Nixie, you cannot hold. Submit now, before you are destroyed as well. I do not wish to harm a sister, but I am bound to this task and will not be stopped. Give yourself over, now! ” Her last words were angry and impatient.

“Ah!” Nixie cried out. Each of Ilyana’s words sliced through her to her very core. Even though she did not act against her sister directly, she was interfering, and her very nature sought to punish her.

Ilyana continued relentlessly on, repeating her commands and reinforcing her controlling power. “Release your magic, sister. Give yourself over to us, now.” Her power was increasing as the intensity of the firestorm grew and was beginning to take hold of Nixie’s very thoughts. The seed had been planted and it could only grow.
